    Just got back

You don't know any of us, and are making sweeping generalisations. Frankly, you are bang out of order. Go find a more suitable target pal, most people on here are proper Sky Blues fans. Aren't we on the same bloody side?

    Our new Striker...

Yeah but you say that all season every season, Glen! OK so you might be right this time, but it's a bit like a weather man who just says "It gonna rain". Eventually he'll be right.

    Baker out

He's one of only 2 league goalscorers for us this season. That volley against Derby was a bit more than "nothing"!

    Baker out

What, like the one we got in when Carsley was crocked, Aron the only fit CM, and we'd just given Doyle away to a relegation rival and loaned Thomas out for a quick buck? Mmm. Been here before, we have. Aidy didn't have a chance..Thorn is 5 times the manager, but he'll bloody have to be!

    Robbie Simpson

Does he fancy coming back?! We could do with him.

I'm a season ticket holder. And how are you to know I don't post whilst at work? Bang out of order post on a night when we're all feeling low. Thanks for your contribution.

We needed ALL of those-2 keepers, a replacement for O'Halloran (who we didn't sign because he was shite..we hoped he'd be good, so we need to replace him with someone else we hope may be good!), and a replacement for Aron-if not Doyle/Carsley in terms of ball-winning midfielders. It's the...

Copied from the McSheffrey thread as I think I'm right and it belongs in here :p Part of it is the shape-Aron did fulfil that RCM perfectly in terms of positioning, and closed down better than we are doing at present in it; Bell was fit and added balance at LCM; and those two were much more...

A fit and on form Mcsheffrey might save us.....

Another thing is-with our midfield spread out, a lot more passes are long rather than short and nippy, one-two's, etc. I think I've seen 1 through ball down the middle on the floor to feet all season. The longer the pass, the easier it is for defences to move into position. Quick, snappy...

A fit and on form Mcsheffrey might save us.....

I'm a fan too but he isn't looking like the same player this season. Part of that is the shape-Aron did fulfil that RCM perfectly in terms of positioning, and closed down better than we are doing at present in it; Bell was fit and added balance at LCM; and those two were much more narrow with...

So just how good are we?

    Dad..is that you?

So just how good are we?

My smugness is looking pretty healthy too. I honestly take no bleeding pleasure in it though. I was so up for that tonight, and I thought the team were for 5 minutes, and then after the OG Ipswich just passed through us at will.

    If you were Andy Thorn..

Yeah I posted to that effect during the game. It was the right move, but Bigi looked humiliated and distraught.

    Nathan Cameron vs Cranie....

I've always thought Cranie prone to lapses of concentration and not that strong in the air for a CB. McPake is the man.

So...who would like to bang on about a play-off challenge after that? We live in a world of pain. I was very impressed with the Ipswich stretcher-buggy, though. Get well soon Baker.

With 442 at least their 2 wide CM's wouldn't be able to tuck-in at will. And it'd protect our full-backs better. Just a thought, I'm sure AT will cook up Plan B..or D..or Z.

    Coventry V Ipswich Thread

It's Aaaron Cresswell..has he ever played against us before?! Maybe this is a game for 442..Ipswich have 4 (class) CM's with all the width coming from the full-backs. 442 might stifle that..their formation is made for killing ours.

    Coventry V Ipswich Thread

Bigi was playing as a defensive right sided midfielder-which is not the role. He's meant to be more central and our entire midfield is spread out too much. Bell wasn't moving or showing enough energy for that role-I can see why the move was made. Coulda waited until half time rather than...

    Robbie Simpson

Thought he was a cracking prospect and we wasted him by only using him as a sub or out wide. Sheff Wed goal was nice :) Always gives his all, strong and good in the air. Was getting seriously good at FK's towards the end of his time here, and looked to be a good finisher when given a chance...
