I think he has been very unlucky to be sacrificed for the team by being stuck out wide when he is a striker. The odd glipse he's had up front-and I mean that, not in the hole-he has got into decent positions and looked our only counter-attacking outlet due to his pace. He and Juke have shown...

Hate to be harsh, but I have never disagreed with a post more strongly. Were you at the game on Tuesday? He closed down, chased and harried more than any player on the pitch. It was the most graft I've seen from a City player in ages. To compare him to Eastwood is an insult.

So looking at the league table...

You sart this thread at least every fortnight, Paxman! I'll repeat what I said before-when you are in the bottom 4 with a solitary win to your name is not the time to be talking about a playoff challenge! Lets take AT's attitude, that this is a work in progress and take it game by game. I...

You know the saying "Only in America?" Well they should change that to ..

Turned out he isn't a crook after all, so they fired him

Gary Deegan and an injection of pace

Yeah, I read that-he probably means the bit were he was moving into position to strike it, 0.21 on Torchies footage, after chesting it down (it was struck and in the net on the same second from what I can see, tee hee). Considering that made him hurried, he didn't lose any accuracy!

If he had more minutes under his belt, he'd be in contention I guess. Trust in AT though, if he is fit enough and doing the business in training he'll pick him.

Very hard to see an argument against any of the recommendations made by the Commons' Culture Media and Sport Committee. My concern is that when it comes to facing up to big business, politics too often proves impotent these days. But then in a world where even Murdoch is now scrutinised, maybe...

Leamington Half Price Offer For City Season Ticket Holders

Great idea by The Brakes. I'm working all Saturdays that City aren't at home, otherwise I'd be up there much more regualrly. In fact, if they extend this deal, and I'll go to every home midweek game that City aren't playing on and bring some mates along with me! For those who haven't been...

The line I just heard in an interview, on Private Equity, was; "If you buy a company, load it with debt, strip it's assets and leave it as a husk, you are not a responsible owner". So it's not just football where a debate about business and responsibility is being had-it's a key issue for this...

Having just watched a load of Conference coverage..SISU are clearly Predators and not Producers! I guess saying that their "wealth is built on sand" would only be fair if we bloody knew who they are. But if you judge a man by his actions, you don't have to see his face :thinking about:

AFC Wimbledon. A role model to all clubs and punching miles above their weight, seemingly on an infinite but steady upwards curve-just like the good old days. It wouldn't be that hard to look in a crystal ball and see that small, community-based and run club which came back from the dead sitting...

FIrst-yeah, sorry, I know it was devils advocate. I'm not talking about football being different from business in the bad way you talk of-I mean it is of different cultural and social significance to a business of any other kind. It is a huge part of the community and the history of the...

Eyup, Aron just set up Cardiff's 2nd goal tonight with a "very clever pass".

I think so. I hope so. And I hope that it doesn't come to it. But yer have to hope that if it does, maybe there will be a future after all. Whereas I had been envisioning a swift drop to L2. I suppose it depends on if we can hold on to them all-and to an extent if Cody comes off.

Yes, but it is maybe almost conceding defeat in the short term and putting a lot of faith in young players consistently improving over the next 12 months if we do go down to get us back. But yeah, you can almost see their theory...

Yeah, more than Turner went for. I won't go figures, but some guys were quoted who are defenders that have moved in this division of late when Turner went. In that direction, although not quite as much. Makes you realise just what an asset he is, which alongside Lukas and the kids kinda...

And at the time, he was playing at CB in the tightest defence in the division. Prem teams notice that sort of thing, and he was playing very well in that role then. A guy who is versatile is all the more attractive, as is one who can play passing football to certain teams on a budget.

I can't say and don't really want to make a song and dance about it, but I know it's true , which is good enough for me, but can't resist mentioning it when it becomes an issue in debates on here. I've done pretty well to avoid the actual teams and figures, but really I shouldn't have said a word!
