    Cov fans are everywhere

two examples that we are the Manchester United of the globe: On entering the olympic stadium in Munich in 96 the first two people I saw were wearing Coventry tops. In 11 in Vientien in Laos I went into a restaurant and the person on the next table was wearing a Sky Blues baseball cap (bad...

    Slade & Wembley

Sadly no matter what happens Slade will be here until Wembley unless Fisher deems otherwise. If he had anything about him and is as selfish as most in the football industry seem to be, Slade will see Wembley as a career highlight and then quit to preserve his record of not relegating a side.

Is Slade our worst manager ever?!

As Otis points out he came in to a sinking ship and has failed to save her, however whether he is the worst manager is irrelevant and meaningless. I would like him to go, he is not the future in my opinion, so I would pin my rosette on the man who will take us in to Division four and start our...

The last hurrah of a once great club

Yes things are not good, that's an understatement I know, but put away the razors, turn off the gas, open the garage door, get off the railway line, loosen the noose. We will turn this around, not this season, but it will turn and when we do it will be all the sweeter. These idiot owners, who...

Match Thread Coventry v Swindon Match Thread - Saturday 25th Feb

Yes the Kop was being transformed in to the east stand, we were briiliant but couldn't get over the line, a few weeks later we were destroyed by Jan Ffortoft who scored a hat trick in a 3-1 loss, one of very few wins they had under John Gorman.

Monners - a "real fan" would have known we didn't play West Ham at Upton Park in 92, however we did play them in their relegation season in 91-2 I went to the Chelsea game, we were in the main stand as what was to become the Matthew Harding stand was being built, 8000 plus game a couple of...

Yes he did, made no difference though. We were dreadful. Wolves were too good for us and that subway was not for the faint hearted.

89845 was the gate so apologies, actually there was some Barca kits on kids but no groups of Barca fans and I think that 89845 is pretty close to 90k and if I am not mistaken that is more than 55000. M&B stand; bravo!

I remember us taking more than that to Wolves in 73. Can anybody stand that or or shoot it down?

We were picked off by the scousers that night. It was an great game but a truly unpleasant after match experience, coach window put in, clothes stolen etc....if my memory serves me right we had played Everton in a top of the table clash at goodison just before and lost 6-0.

Many have taken more to old trafford, derby come to mind since we were there. Celtic took over 20000 to a testimonial

    Anyone miss walking past here

Yes the club should do this but the fans should not need asking for a Wembley final. Sky blue should be wall to wall in our area. Actually I think we be coordinating how we are supporting the club on the day.

    Next Seasons Manager?

A serious multi tasker, I like your thinking.

    Next Seasons Manager?

Long ball is his modus operandi, has been and always will be. It is one thing to expect flowing football and get his style of play, but some on here were extolling his virtue of being a lower league specialist and was just what we needed to bully our way out of trouble. He has done just that...

    Anyone miss walking past here

I agree, I like the Ricoh as a stadium, I hate the fact it belongs to another sporting club, I am incredulous how we got to this point. It is just not a part of my life like HR was and always will be, I suppose that just a fact of when I was born and when I was inducted into a Sky Blue life. Who...

Hers the thing I can't fathom, on its last day HR looked the very best it ever did. Full of soul, ghosts and echoes of our past

    Anyone miss walking past here

I never used to go up Swan lane but went up king richard street and I swear the moment I saw the coventry city football club sign I felt excited, I would look to see if we were on tv, then see if it was match of the day or star soccer. I would walk around the back of the west stand and go...

    Begging thread

Not calling you anything, don't know you and not pointing any finger at any individual, just stating the definition of a real supporter is someone that is not wavering but steadfastly loyal. I certainly wavered during the sixfields debacle and found myself very much falling out of love with...
