I’m not saying they haven’t under the rules. When you get to the 3rd and 4th round the majority of teams are the 92. You have about 4/5 teams from the non-league. and the closeness of the leagues means 90% of the 92 have something to play for. The Cup takes a back seat.

Hamer would fit in next to sheaf, he’d be a much better fit than Eccles or Allen. I mentioned before aswell, he’d have added more to us in the start of the season. The games against Leicester and Wimbledon drastically turned when he left the pitch

It’s not guess work is it? You said we don’t miss Hamer because we’re unbeaten in 10 and 6th in the league. So applying your quotes - you’d apply the same to Gyokeres as “you’d be doing a disservice to our current squad”

You were saying that we don’t miss Hamer becuase of our league position - then surely you’ve got to apply the same to Gyokeres. Hamer would 100% improve our side - and you’d have to be blinkered to think otherwise

I’d argue that with a central midfielder of Hamer’s calibre we’d have done better in the first 1/3 of the season when we were being overrun in midfield with no creative output. with regards to Sheaf - as above Hamer’s creative output was miles better than Sheaf. The fact they were so good...

Did you watch the last 5 games of last season? He carried us in the play offs - and if he didn’t get injured we’d have won that final. it’s not a disservice - he’s a better player and adds more than any of our central midfield

Becuase he would - he’s 5x the player Eccles and Allen are and 2x the player Sheaf is (coming from someone who’s a big sheaf fan) as long as he’s not suspended he walks into the central midfield
