I think the issue with 5 is that you start each season with half a team to replace … you are not building any solid foundations. 2 to 3 top quality loans should be our limit really if we want to improve the quality of the assets we own.

The fact we loan so many young players from the Premier League would in theory block their progress, however in reality when we loan our academy players out very few are really successful, which would also suggest a quality issue.

In simple terms the more followers you have who engage more often, the higher the advertising revenues you can attract, the more likely you are to sell your merchandise, etc

yes some have been in the Premier League but in many cases not for a long time and in most cases they do not have the catchment area we do

It’s a pretty outdated view that players and coaching staff don’t spend that much time at these facilities …. They do and clubs encourage them too as well.

At championship level corporates take boxes for 2 reasons …. They are based in that location and think many of their clients will want to go or the decision maker chooses his preferred team and their is little commercial logic.
In normal markets you would be right but football fans don’t swap allegiances in the way consumer markets work. Therefore products don’t have to be identical for fans to decide that’s how they wish to watch their football.
