Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 11th Jan

Nice, I've never really had an issue getting in (digital/paper tickets). The QR code and an actual ticket in my Google wallet was a curve ball. It's good to know the scanners can actually deal with QR codes!

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

The net spend will low to mid table at a guess tho? I think we've done a bit of a Tottenham, remember when the sold Bale for stacks and bought in Soldado, Chadli and various other dossers?

Lucky I'm chronically early so have not experienced the chaos! Is it going to be a case of new year, new scanners at the CBS?

    Rob Èdwards gone at Luton

I think their form going back to Jan 24 has them winning something like 4 games. It probably was time for him to go although I'm not sure he could have done any better. Relying on two geriatric full backs in the premier league level is mental. Edit: It's 8 games.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 11th Jan

Oh wow, we do proper digital tickets now? I just got mine through, I have the standard printable version but with a QR code, not a barcode. I also was able to add them to my Google wallet! What a time to be alive... How long has this been a thing? If only Greggs was still here to advise!

    Signing next 48hrs

I'm not sure that it was a foul but 95 time out of 100 the referee will give a decision in favour of the defending player.

    Signing next 48hrs

Agreed. Untill that goal mouth scramble we looked fine, after that we conceded too much territory which worsened when Bassett was subbed off. In some ways I thought the performance was in a way similar to the playoff season, if we had that extra bit of quality I think we win that.

    Relegation Battle?

Oh I agree, I don't think we're in a relegation battle. I don't even think yesterday was particularly bad overall. The game plan worked for most of the game. The last half an hour we showed real grit, shame we couldn't carry it into the final 5 minutes added on! Fatigue possibly an issue, we...

    Relegation Battle?

Fairly standard in the championship isn't it? Well untill the last few games at least.

Match Thread Cardiff City - Coventry City Match Thread - Wednesday 1st Jan

I'd like to see Saka come from out to in, try and create an overload. Okay a one two with someone on the edge of the box, anything other than the horseshoe pattern of play we have seen for so long.

I know, pass and move. It's pretty basic stuff, it probably doesn't help that the players are pretty static when receiving the ball.

The slow play has to be a mentality/confidence issue, scared to make a mistake, overthinking the basics which has lead to some of the performances we have seen over the last 9 months.

I also have an irrational hatred of the bloke.

Unforced errors are are things, we really need to cut it out. Must be a mentality thing?

Great football goals / moments from the past

I remember watching that. He was probably the best player in the world at that point (and probably the two years preceding), for me the pound for pound premier league greatest.

Great football goals / moments from the past

Sheerer used to score those weekly I swear! Pre his 7000 ACLs the bloke was rapid, at Southampton and Blackburn he was a joke. Ronaldoesq - the flashy stuff

Great football goals / moments from the past

Beautiful. You never see a player go around the GK anymore, must be a lost art. Don't even see it at my kids games.... Bring back the past!

    Match Thread Home game atmosphere

This. The football has become progressively more boring. The first two seasons after COVID was pretty good to watch (we also had loads of rousing comebacks early in the season) which generated a good atmosphere because we believed something could happen. Now we just sort of keep the ball for...
