What are your figures? What I found on sbt arena timeline is.. 1998 31st May CCFC H Ltd accounts confirm outline planning permission received for new stadium at the Foleshill Gas works. Total costs expended to that date £150,526

There was decontamination work and the gas holders were demolished in 2002, that all happened before the land was even purchased from British Gas. Gas tower's going, going, gone! How the Ricoh Arena deal was almost scuppered before building started

If they were serious they could do it to force the issue or simply go public.

Where did you get millions on a planning application from. Those are expensive architects. I'd be thinking more like £150,000 (finger in the air for 1 to 2 man years of consultancy time).

You don't actually need to own land to apply for planning permission for it. This means you can apply for permission before deciding whether or not to buy a piece of land.

Wrong, they never bought the land or borrowed from the Council. Sky Blue Trust - 2. The CCFC Ltd/Holdings & Ricoh Build Years:1993 to 2007

You've changed your argument. You originally said the contracts were unhelpful to the stadium owner, well they are helpful to the current owner. That's the situation, I'm not saying that's any help to SISU/CCFC, I never said that but you seem to think that's what you were talking about.

Nonsense, it it was actually a SISU priority then they would be able to force the issue with a proper application. Something between 13 weeks and 26 weeks is the statutory limit for a major development. Determining a planning application

25 year contract, bet they're shitting themselves too, they lost £1.35M on £85M turnover last year.

Partly true, it is a cost control measure that sub contracts to experise in a field. A fee is paid and a service is provided, in some cases reduced profits are shared. Like the Hilton hotel, the Delaware facilities management and the Casino operation. Saves the club dealing with the intracies...

You're the one who raised the issue, you explain the situation. I won't hold ny breath because from your posts so far it looks like you are struggling with it. Hint, perhaps you can explain why CCFC has contracts with Ticketmaster & Just Sport, what benefit do they confer.

That isn't an analysis, it is an admission that you don't understand how those contracts work & why they've been made. I agree a joint approach for sponsopship/naming rights would bring more money in, how it would be shared is the issue but that scanario isn't on the cards right now is it.

I never expressed one on that, I'm asking the poster to justify his assertion that there is a clusterfuck of contracts.

It seems to me you are just repeating an argument that agrees with your opinion/wishes without having analysed the numbers. If not can we all see your analysis, what contracts and what are the numbers etc.?

It is the level of opposition encountered. For instance Asnsty & Whitley South would be less as industrial zoneing is already established in those areas. So they pick a well to do area where you might expect locals to mobilise more effectively.
