Since the Internet and social media has grown that has meant so many people are all doing the same things, and thousands are all going after one goal at the same time, but only a minority get success. Take football writing for an example, I've been writing articles, blogs, and reports for several...

    Small Footballers

City legend George Hudson was only 5'8" tall, but he scored goals galore for us, and was tough too.

    Small Footballers

Only thing wrong there is that in rugby there has been great small players. Scrum halfs are small in height, and many wingers too. But yes in basketball height is an advantage.

    Small Footballers

Has anybody else ever noticed that some of the best ever players are/have been short in height ? Take Messi for example, he's only about 5'7" tall.Maradona was about the same height, but both are without doubt two of the greatest ever. Kevin Keegan wasn't tall in fact Jimmy Hill turned him down...

42 of them. Favourite places ? Glasgow,Carlisle, and London for the attractions. Most though for football matches. Loved Glasgow and really like Carlisle, stopped off there on way to Scotland. Inverness is a nice city too.

    Ernie Hunt

I was behind the goal that donkey kick game in the West End, and we all went mental when it went in the net. They showed it every Saturday night on Match Of The Day at the start, and it was some goal, and Ernie got goal of the season for it. RIP Ernie.

    Meeting AnOld Mate

This afternoon I was walking past the pub in the town when a old mate knocked the window of the pub, he called me for a beer . I had a great talk about out past times . I've just got back in wobbling to fuck ! We spent an hour in the boozer which was the old Tally Ho, and we recalled how great...

    World Cup Panels

Bored with most of them already. Roy Keane as good a footballer as he was offers little, he sits there mostly surly and defensive. Hoddle talks to himself when commentating, or that's how he comes across. Ian Wright thinks he's funny,(he's not ) and I don't understand Bilic the ex West Ham...

What's the shorest length of time you have ever spent in a town or city?

None of this banning order back then, you'd take a few digs, get lobbed out, be back in next match ! I recall a hard copper in the 70's think he was PC Jenkins ? He loved a punch up at games, he once called me over at some "disturbance " and I had Mungo Jerry sideboards, he grabbed them and...

What's the shorest length of time you have ever spent in a town or city?

In my wild youth got nicked in Wolverhampton before a match, had only stepped off the train 20 minutes prior to getting into a scuffle with some Wolves fans. Coppers grabbed a few of us gave us some slaps and put us back on a train !

    Mobile Phones At Games ?

I do think the football fan Rich has changed a bit over the years. Now many sit messing about with phones, many like to chat, and some keep disappearing during games ! What about the World Cup ? When they see themselves on the screens they go mad, pointing and posing, aren't they watching the game ?

    Mobile Phones At Games ?

Might be showing my age as I started going to games back in the 60's when it was all rattles and rosettes, but is anybody else a bit cheesed off seeing fans fiddling about with their phones during matches, or taking Selfies all the time ? If I'm not expecting a call I'll turn my phone off, and...

World Cup - The Pub Or Home ?

I never watched it but it looked a good documentary. I've always been surprised seeing how many good players Scotland have had over the years, how poor their national teams have been. Dalglish, Law, Baxter, Holton, Jordan, Tommy Hutchison, all top league players, but in very average national...
