Let’s say you sign Souare on 1 year deal (as anything longer would be stupid given his last few seasons) and loan Maasten and Reid has another season in the 23s. That leaves us needing 2 left backs again next season? It’s not sustainable.

Would leave us with Hyam, Fadz, Rose, souare, Cranie and Clarke salter as centre back options. 6 players, 3 of which are mid 30s and all on decent money. Is that really necessary? Burroughs looks like he’s ready to be 3rd choice right behind Dabo and Dacosta. If we’re bringing in 2 more centre backs this makes sense for both parties, think he is a decent league 1 player.
