I think if you've bought the UK pass you can only get live audio and delayed video and using a VPN won't make a difference, whereas if you bought the pricier foreign pass while using a VPN you get live video as part of it. This is based on last season's model though, so could be way off

I love the idea of the Winter Classic but it seems odd in practice, like when the NBA all-star game was in the 100000-seater Cowboys Stadium. If you're in the cheap seats you're surely just watching the big screens.
