What this transfer window tells you

I can't justify those tactics, I was at the Chesterfield game and it was the worst I have seen a City team play, just hit and hope to two small forwards. I'm still giving him time, because he's what we've got, and I doubt he's going anywhere this season.

What this transfer window tells you

It is certainly true that the last few games have been really poor, and the signs don't look good, but it is far too early to write him off. We should be judging him at season's end, when we can see whether progress has been made.

    What's more likely

Go and watch Leiston, Needham Market, Lowestoft, some good football round your way now. Alternatively, keep the faith!

    Willis gone, Exodus begins!

Isn't that what he said? I hope Willis stays, a young improving player, versatile.

    Willis gone, Exodus begins!

Good post, we should be supporting our young home grown players, but young players like Willis and Haynes get abuse from some posters on here, and at some games. And then, those players are subject to bids from higher League clubs (Rotherham, Wolves) or taken on trial (Liverpool). These other...

    Willis gone, Exodus begins!

Also, has Willis agreed terms yet? If the deal were to fall through, then people would say 'why didn't we appeal the sending off.'

    Relegation thread

I hate to say this, but for the first time today, I think we have gone too far. In fact, I've started to think of the positives of League 2. Here's one, I have been to 58 grounds watching City over the past 50 years (59 grounds if I include Chelsea v Everton in the 80's), and I reckon I'll have...

He won't do that. I don't think he will try to talk his way out of it

Hello everyone . . . Sunderland fan coming in peace to talk about my book . . .

Does anyone remember a last game of the season against Leeds, I think we had to draw to stay up, which we did. At the end of the game City fans came on the pitch to celebrate, and those friendly Leeds fans came on the pitch to fight. Scraps all over the pitch. They're as bad as any, and worst...

Yes, I would agree Otis, I have nothing but bad memories if encounters with Leeds fans.

    Wembley boycott

I understand your viewpoint, I think everyone understands that the authorities are undermining this competition, as they do every other competition that doesn't have 'Premier League' front of it. However, I think you can see that long suffering Cov fans have no intention of missing this one...

Hello everyone . . . Sunderland fan coming in peace to talk about my book . . .

But we did win the replay 5-0. A Steve Livingstone hatrick. I was at the Roker Park game, and I seem to remember that Speedie was winding up Bennett the whole match, until GB snapped. Bennett had Speedie by the throat and was pushing him over the wall into the crowd, while S was swinging at B...

Hello everyone . . . Sunderland fan coming in peace to talk about my book . . .

I live in the North East of England, and travelled down to White Hart Lane to see the last game of the season (1997), one we had to win to have any chance of staying up. We won 2-1, winning goal from Dublin, heroic performance from Oggy! You must have been playing down south, because on the way...

Another great post Bob, what a colossus in our football club. Involved in all my treasured memories of City.

If we go down will Mowbray go down as one of our worst ever managers?

Well, I guess we all hope that Slade will help to pull us out of the mire. As for Mowbray, although I think he got things badly wrong, I do think that he was genuine in his attempts to make things happen for us, after all, nobody tries to do a bad job (although that West Ham player - Poyet...

If we go down will Mowbray go down as one of our worst ever managers?

You can't ignore the shocking performance in the second half of the season. We produced relegation form, at one stage we were 11 points clear of 7th place, and ended up 5 points off 6th place. It wasn't just poor performance at the start of this season, it was nearly a year of poor performance...
