    RIP Gerry

It used to be sung regularly in the west end. One our staples until common sense prevailed.

    RIP Gerry

    No it wasn’t.

    Scariest time at a ground.

When the away fans came to take the west end with varying degrees of success. The clever ones got in early before the Coventry boys arrived and then it was a matter of holding their nerve but it was the ones who just walked in and drove the fans out that used to annoy me. Where was our civic...

Comical? I have never heard of this world beating footballer that you are bigging up other than he is from Coventry and hasn’t cut it at his clubs. You seem convinced he is a game changer with bags of ability, I will let Robins decide if he is good enough for Coventry City as he is not deemed...

You mean the guy who doesn’t get selected for a team below us is better than a player who is a starter every week? I agree Crowley is on another level. Not quite at the level of OHare.

By what measurement? I can’t see any way that Portsmouth are bigger than Sunderland

    Signings Incoming......

Maybe because the Birmingham managers have had a different opinion to our esteemed expert. There are players that can knuckle down and graft, who you want when you are in the trenches and there are players that will shine in any team that enjoys a high percentage of possession. Crowley is...

You can’t give a contracted player a free transfer without paying up their contract or reaching an agreement with the player.

Why are you pretty sure that Kasteneer will leave? Not saying you are wrong, just interested in your thinking. There are many factors involved in a transfer but can’t see there would be a buyer for him at this time.

    Scariest time at a ground.

A decent centre forward who made his name at Forest when they finished 2nd in the league in 67 and got a couple of caps for England. Played for Derby at the end of his top flight career.

    Hamer vs Walsh

Doubting no but let’s be honest Millwall have been very poor. Where has Hamer been in the last month? Hiding in plain sight

Easy to say but it’s risk against reward.

    Danny Drinkwater

Delusion comes in many forms. Drinkwater was a very good player, far above our station and was highly thought of by many including the England coach and Ranieri. The 2016 version was at the top of his cycle, today he is seen as not worth the risk by Burnley, Villa and his own club Chelsea. To...

    Danny Drinkwater

Obviously taking someone with the track record of Drinkwater is a big risk, is it a Stephen Hunt or Dennis Wise you get? What is not in dispute is that a focused motivated Drinkwater of the Leicester vintage is far better than anything we have. I suspect he is not the player nor man he once was.

What do we need to progress?

At this moment there is an axis of where the pressure is coming from in my opinion. That is Sheaf, Hamer and O’Hare. The inability to pass and receive a pass becomes evident when Kelly plays. When he is absent nothing sticks. That theory excludes individual errors but is based on breaking down...

Happy new year sky blue army

Happy new year to my fellow Sky Blues the world over. Proud to be a Coventrian.

    Danny Drinkwater

Drinkwater is on over 100k per week and is nowhere near the Chelsea squad with a contract which ends in 18 months. I wouldn’t be surprised if he just runs down his contract or Chelsea pay him off. I can’t see Chelsea being too bothered about him as a player so who knows?
