Mick Coop played centre half (well, number 6 in old money) all that season. As I recall, Terry Yorath filled in at centre half a few times when Jim Holton was out.

It wasn't ungentlemanly conduct - they ruled that Willie Carr had touched the ball twice (I presume the rationale was that he was touching it with both feet) before Ernie Hunt shot. Debateable, as there were not two separate touches at different times, but that was what they decided.
