I don't think it's as much as 6. Stamenic would probably take our spending to around level with what we received last year. I suspect any more significant purchases will have to be funded by a sale, or Vik moving (which currently looks unlikely).

Christ they drew with Gibraltar, that should be an automatic sacking for the manager.

They’re also taking Camavinga, Tchouameni, Rabiot, Zaire Emery and Fofana for the CM spots… that is stacked. Saliba won’t even start for them after being one of the best centre backs in the prem last season. And I haven’t even mentioned Mbappe.

It’s two separate issues. I can see why Doug wasn’t keen on paying 750k for 6 months. But we should have got someone else in, it was an error.

Eccles likely won’t even be starting if we have two of Stamenic/Sheaf/Browne in the squad. The difference between 1 or 2 years doesn’t mean much in terms of transfer fee. We got good values for Hamer and Vik with 1 year left. We’d still get 10-12m easily (and we’re not going to get 20 this summer).
