That’s my point. IF they could stay for a few years they would grow but the chances are based on their current squad quality, commercial revenues etc etc and FFP rules they would be more likely to get relegated than stay in the Premier league.

They have huge fan bases but are no longer huge clubs. Commercially and infrastructure wise they are more like Championship clubs. if they were dropped into the Premier league next season they would almost certainly get relegated. Leicester, Leeds / Saints would almost certainly finish higher...

It will make zero difference. You don’t spend millions on a multi year contract to compensate for a player being suspended for a couple of matches. If he buys an expensive left sided centre half it’s to replace Kitchin, not to provide early season cover.

He has 5 professional goals to his name …. I agree he looked a good player when he first broke in to the Leeds team but he’s not achieved anything over the last 2 seasons.
