    Running

Walking is the best especially in the great outdoors. Fair play to those who run, my mate who's an ex professional boxer, runs marathons as his missus has got a serious disease, and he runs for the charity that supports her. The thing with walking is you can walk at a pace that suits you, and...

    Fans yesterday

Away days have always been good on the whole. In the 60's and 70's we took thousands to away grounds, especially local derbies.Wolves away was the highlight of the season, we'd be in Wolverhampton hours before kick off. Older fans will know what reception we used to get !

Assuming everyone has their Portmouth supporter head on

Just watched the highlights on Quest. Got to say it was a cracker, both sides played well. I dislike both clubs to be honest, but you have to say they represented League One well. But our performance in our final was better !

    Cancer's a bastard!

My sister who's been a nurse for decades told me that a Cancer surgeon told her that it can be cured. She replied to him " why then are people still getting it ? That's when he told her there's so much cash spent on cures etc, they don't want to lose so much money. If that's true it sums up...

    Cancer's a bastard!

Sorry to hear about this Houch. There's not many people who haven't been affected by Cancer sadly. My dad died of it aged 76 so not young. But from diagnosis to his death was only 2months. I've lost aunties and uncles to this vile disease too. Can it be ever be cured ? I read an article once...

    Players Celebrating Goals

Same with me I never take much notice. I've been thinking of ex players and how they celebrated ? My favourite George Hudson if I recall just put his arm up. And Neil Martin put both arms up in the air, but that's about it.

    Players Celebrating Goals

On Football Focus today they featured Jesse Lingard. It showed him doing his goal celebrations, very fancy stuff. It seems players don't just do a " Shearer" anymore. It doesn't bother me how they celebrate a goal, if a Cov player scores he can do what he likes. But can anyone remember an ex...

    Death List 2019

She was a school friend of my sister. She stopped to talk to me last year as I was working down Walsgrave, she was bitter though at her husband. I knew him too so said nothing. Be uncomfortable for him on Tuesday?

    Death List 2019

Yes I heard about her husband's " behaviour" too. I was surprised at that to be honest. Doubt if I can make the funeral. Sue was a good person, and I knew her mum well, cleaned her Windows and did painting jobs for her.

Some of my customers said they won't let me retire, I will clean Windows till I drop. But as much as I love my job I'm ready to call it a day now. I can still do the odd day anyway. My mate retired aged 58 and loves it, he said don't worry just chill out !

    Death List 2019

On the Windows a few days ago I asked a customer where was his missus, as I hadn't seen her for a few months? She is really friendly and I knew her for years. He said that she had passed away ! Brain haemorrhage aged 65, same age as me. Shows you just never know !

16 year old murdered in Wood End

Just come back home to Bell Green. Bit wobbly as I had a good drink before the game and couple of pints after. A Russian chap who's out every night selling fags, asked me if I wanted 20 fags ? I said no, next minute group of them came over steaming. Luckily a group of lads who know me asked me...
