    Crawley Highlights

You’re right Steve, Haynes was marking his man, the player that scored came from deep and was allowed to run through by someone further up the field. He’s blamed purely because the goal came from his side of the pitch. Agree with #scapegoat.

Match Thread Coventry City at Crawley Town Match Thread - Saturday 14th Apr

Really pleased that we got the win yesterday, with Mansfield’s win, it was vital that we took 3 points. To be fair, I thought we were pretty poor on the day, there were long periods when we just couldn’t keep the ball, our passing was inaccurate and there was a lack of ball control. The City...

    PONTICELLI

Time will tell how good JP will be, and what level he will reach. I thought he struggled in the first half yesterday, but then the whole team did for quite a lot of yesterday’s game. His second goal was excellent, I was in line with his shot as it came in, I didn’t see the possibility of a shot...

Close - could be draw win win win win. Next week won’t be easy, I do think we will beat Lincoln at home.

I can’t agree Cavan, Notts were awful, and although we weren’t great, I think we did deserve a draw, probably didn’t do enough to win.

    Meltdown

You’re spot on, we weren’t good today, but they were awful and lucky to win. We would beat them in play-offs. As I said, we didn’t play well, but I saw enough to make me confidant that we will reach the play-offs.

Yeh, maybe you’re right, I certainly hope so! I was kind of acknowledging Sylus’s concerns which I think a lot of us would share. And I agree with you and ISB, and a few others, we will make the play-offs, and win the semi. Then onto the final.....

    Observations from today...

Agree with a lot of this, apart from two key points - I think we will make the play-offs, and I think we will win a two legged semi. Don’t ask me how we would do in the final! PUSB!!

Yep, with you on both points.

I thought that Mansfield would find Crewe difficult, they looked a good team against us a couple of weeks ago. If they, and Swindon win in midweek, we will need to win our game in hand, to go above them again. Although we were quite poor today, we were better than a very poor Notts, and I think...

Yes, I know exactly what you mean, we have a habit of losing must win games, particularly when we have a good crowd behind us. However, I do feel that our team are mentally stronger than we have been for a while, and are capable of winning a two legged play off semi-final. The only team I...

The clock is ticking again Robins...

I’m not going to respond anymore to any of BRR’s posts, and I would respectfully suggest that other supporters of City do the same. It’s not worth getting wound up by someone who only posts (the same message) when we lose.

After today, where we were unfortunate to lose, and with the Mansfield and Swindon results, I am sure we will make the play offs.

    Yeovil can help us

Steve, I think you have a point. To come to Coventry who are on a great run and score 6 goals, puts them on a real high. Let’s hope they take that optimism into their remaining games and take some points of our rivals. Keep the faith and keep posting! - there are a few negatives on here, so...

Match Thread Coventry City at Notts County Match Thread - Saturday 7th Apr

I thought Crewe were a nice little football team, they’ve had some good results, but are inconsistent. I can see them getting a result at Mansfield.

We’ll expect the worse and be pleasantly surprised!

The clock is ticking again Robins...

Nobody can disguise the disappointment of today’s result, but some posters are not exactly measured in their responses. Players who were heroes in the last few games are now less than zero after one, admittedly, very poor performance. We had probably left ourselves too much to do to reach the...

It would appear that you couldn’t wait for a result like this, so (as Hill has highlighted), you could press send on your prepared post.

    Lee Burge

You’re right, Burge has been in ever since O’Brien made a couple of mistakes earlier in the season, apart from Crewe, when Burge was ill. Like the rest of the players in this particular team, he tries his hardest every week, and overall does a good job for us. I’m pleased to see a good number of...
