    Worrying Comments from Mowbray

From the Cov Tel's story on Mowbray talking about potentially going in for free agents after the window closes: "...It’s been really difficult to find the men who want to come (here with) where we are as a club at the moment." What changed from last season? Should this be worrying for City fans?

I'm not sure what you want from me. In my opinion, we have signed a player seemingly for the sake of just having a new striker. He does not appear to be better than anything we already have.

This is one hell of a straw man you've pulled out here. I apologize for not being a full-time scout and having a shortlist of players to go through right now at Midnight on deadline day, never mind having three months to do it like Mowbray and Venus did.

    Andre Wright

Andre Wright's record for the WBA U21s last year: 21 games, 2 goals. Adam Armstrong as a 17-year-old for Newcastle U21s: 14 games, 11 goals. I do want him to be good, but I am just frustrated at the fact that yet again we have left it so late and signed a player who may not even start, never...

Armstrong was a highly-touted forward who was banging them in for the England youth teams. And all those appearances came in the Premier League, not the bloody Conference! You cannot compare the two. Wilson is an anomaly and we all know it. A one in a million turnaround.

Scored 4 goals in 34 games at Conference level last season. Excuse me for not being excited about that.

Apparently the weather in the area is causing problems. The thunder and lightning have knocked it out.

Does it work if you change your settings to the Northampton Town player? Any consequences for doing that?

name 1 thing we have to be positive about

Very glad I'm not a bitter old man as well. So that's a third reason to be positive.

name 1 thing we have to be positive about

1 - My birthday is in November. 2 - I don't live in Coventry. Two very good reasons to be cheerful.

    Aaron Phillips and Aaron Martin

Would much rather have DKE than Phillips. How many chances Phillips get to become the starting right back? At least two or three. Squandered all of them.

Stedman really could be the new Maddison. Plays in the number 10 role behind the striker and has a sweet left foot.

    Remember the ten point deduction?

Barnsley were in the relegation zone in November. They won the Playoff Final.

One-way plane tickets to Saudi Arabia are about £700. Women can't do anything there. Sounds like the place for you.

I said after the Sturm Graz game that he worried me with the amount of times he was getting turned. Very glad to see my worry was misplaced :)

The new formation and potential problems.

Wigan and Barnsley both went up last season with strikers under 6ft leading the line. You don't need a target man in football anymore, just good playmaking and finishing. Like when we were top of the league last year with Arma as the lone frontman.

The new formation and potential problems.

The 3-5-2/3-4-3 is designed to maximise possession with 3 in midfield as well as having bodies in defence, building from the back. By the very nature of it being rather defensive, you have to give up on certain attacking principles that are tried and tested in English football, namely getting an...
