Troy Parrot is interesting shout, didn’t realise he was still on Spurs books. Plays just off the striker which would complement Simms and Wright well. Hasn’t really done it at this level but his stock is low so he’d be getable you would think.
Good strikers cost lots of money, if there was no risks at all with this signing he wouldn’t be coming to Cov. We needed a striker and we seem to have signed a good one here.
I think we’re allowed 4 players who wouldn’t have previously qualified for a work permit so assuming that’s Sakamoto, Van Ewijk and now Wright we have space for 1 more foreign signing. Not sure if Binks counts as he was originally from Spurs.
I’ve always been of the opinion if he doesn’t sign a contract we have to sell but if the bids coming in are way below his value what do you do? Keep him for the year or sell him for say £6million?
Wonder if Antoine Semenyo would be available for a loan? Couldn’t get into the Bournmouth team last year and they’ve signed a couple of attackers since.
They made the play offs last season with no strikers and no centre halves. I think they will be in and around the top 6 this year especially if Stewart stays fit.
