    Blocks 2 & 3..

I remember watching us play Forest at the City Ground. We were all standing behind the goal and lots of stewards came round telling us to sit. I pointed out that the home fans in the stand to our left were all standing and no one was telling them to sit, but as you might imagine, that was not...

    The Orange Ball

I remember both. We were getting stuffed in the Sheffield Utd game until it was abandoned. IIRC it was replayed after Noel Cantwell had been sacked and Bob Dennison was in temporary charge. You're right that we won, but I thought it was 3-2?

    Blocks 2 & 3..

If our SAG has carried out proper research that shows that they have a better way of crowd management than (pretty much) every other club in the country, then I’m sure we’d all be interested to see it. Presumably, all those other clubs that don’t currently see a need to keep massive empty...

    Blocks 2 & 3..

The issue is not atmosphere at the expense of safety though. The issue is atmosphere at the expense of the perception that there might perhaps one day be a bit of a safety problem, even though other grounds seem to manage without problems despite not having such measures in place. How far do...

We seemed to go for decades with no changes and then we get lots of modifications. It still doesn't feel right to me when the kick off goes backwards!

That always used to be the case, but I think that that rule has been changed.

I'm pretty sure that they changed the rules last summer or the one before, so that if the ball hits the ref the game has to be stopped and restarted by a drop ball.

    Shooting practice

Given our existing issues with hamstrings and muscle tears, I'm not sure that would be such a good idea...

Wasn't that one a drop ball because it hit the ref?

    Home v Sunderland 12.30, Sky, £33 a ticket

I can't say that I've looked at ticket sales on a Monday before, but my impression is that they're going fairly well. Might be a decent crowd.

Going back a bit, but (as I recall) we lost 1-2 to them in 1976 (?). I think it was the game where Ian Wallace made his debut, coming on as a half time substitute, In my memory, the second half was us pounding them but not managing to get an equaliser.

    Keith Houchen

He’s attended at least some of the recent Legends’ Days. Had a couple of brief chats with him - seemed a good guy.

Kasey Palmer Fined for Scoring in Training?

Apparently it was a brilliant overhead kick, but it left him limping afterwards. Presumably fined for risking an injury

    Match Thread Huddersfield Match Thread

True. if my memory is correct, in the Forest game back at the start of last season we were losing 0-1 and everything felt a bit flat and then Singers Corner started up with Twist & Shout, which went on for quite a while. Everything seemed to pick up and the rest is history. I’m not suggesting...

    Doug King Takeover

Fair enough. Apologies for my misinterpretation. I'm not trying to defend him against all-comers, but given the timescales involved with the takeover, I'm not sure what more he could have practically done with the CBS.
