Can only pass on what I have heard although it was common knowledge that they looked around the East Midlands with no luck. As for the source I couldn't pass that on.

I beleive the wasps were looking at setting up in Derby or Nottingham to try and get a bigger fan base but sparse of rugby teams, any futher North and it is RL territory. On the way back they stopped off at the Ricoh unaware it was empty......... The rest is history as they say.
