It was a wild accusation with no basis in reality. I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person but they have to some sense of believability else they don't work.

Exactly, we know cash flow is a major issue, we're desperate to get the games on. It's why all the conspiracy theories make zero sense.

That's exactly what would happen, you can't call a game off just because you don't like the surface, if the EFL deem it playable the game is played, simple as that.
