Who says he's done anything wrong? Robins picks a team to get a result by both playing to our strengths & combating theirs. As @Esoterica said earlier, I'd expect long diagonals towards the flanks from Wycombe, hence McCallum's superior aerial ability would have been a factor.

That + Hamer also has to get through 2 more games without picking up a yellow card to avoid a suspension (same as Østigård). Against an aggressive, combative team like Wycombe that might be tricky so no surprise he's rested for this one.

The 2 up front would play into Wycombe's strengths. Having 2 x CAMs gives them a lot of problems, do the midfielders drop deep to pick them up & leave space for Sheaf, Kelly & the WBs? Or do their defenders step out to pick them up leaving space for Walker to exploit? It's exactly what killed...

Agree with that. I 100% prefer standard refereeing with the inconsistencies & mistakes that come with it than VAR. One thing I would say though is that over the last 2 years or so the general standard of refereeing has definitely seen a downturn. Whether this is because PGMOL are so focused...
