Winger missed out on at the 11th hour

Yep, this was known last week. No one really knows but the speculation from a few was Omar Rowe who was a winger we've been linked with the last few weeks, just been released by Southampton I believe.

    Rochdale (Away) Match Thread

Team will be --------Charles-Cook Phillips--Ricketts--Martin--Haynes -------Morris---Fleck -Swanson---Lamieras--G Thomas -----------Tudgay Thats my prediction anyway, wouldn't be surprised to see Harries and Stevenson appear on the bench.

wigan's point of view. Boss disappointed to start the season with defeat at the Ricoh

Agreed, theres an assumption that passing football and keeping possesion = good, pretty football. Personally I couldn't care less now if we play passing football, what I really want to see is ATTACKING football, scoring goals and creating chances.

I get what you are saying in your first point but you just know if they allowed it would be flying everywhere and not very pleasant.

Having 9,000 fans in one stand is always going to make busier toilets, not sure what they can do to help that. They can't build more toilets in the concourse can they. I'd guess they have a rough idea on the number of walk ups they will get so can plan in advance for the possibility they will...

    The Ashes

I'm not an expert on Cricket but it just seems the Aussies don't know how to play the moving ball, on the pitch that offered nothing they plundered 100s of runs and on the other pitches they just looked liked novices.

Surely Time to Bury the Hatchet

We will enjoy if we get more days like yesterday, most enjoyable day since the Gillingham match. Those who didn't go missed a real treat.

Surely Time to Bury the Hatchet

Only three? More like 4 or 5 now. Anywhere its not even about burying the hatchet, its about supporting the team. You can still hate SISU and go to matches, it seems some think by going to matches you have to personally kiss the feet of Fisher and Seppalla and donate to SISUs evil fund, all the...

Surely Time to Bury the Hatchet

I think you're right, rich has already pretty much said he would come back if we were challenging for promotion. I've said several times if you make a choice that you don't think its value for money just say that rather than hiding behind the owners and morals etc.

Surely Time to Bury the Hatchet

I'm afraid we've lost some fans forever and this thread only proves it, and this for me is the bleakest thing to come out of this mess than anything SISU have done.

    No Armstrong For Rochdale

By the time Januray arrives the league cup will be at the semi final stage and I don't see Newcastle getting that far anyway. So like I say I think its just Newcastle being cautious should they need to recall him.

    No Armstrong For Rochdale

Newcastle do have a recall clause so it could just be them being extra cautious should they need him for a cup tie in case of injuries.

Surely Time to Bury the Hatchet

Long term not as it is now no, if we had 25k supporters every week then yes I'd see a future more brighter than it is now. I do think we're in for a good season though, shame so many won't get to see it because they can't see past the owners.
