Amazed by how easy they’re making things look. Plymouth too. Sunderland seem to have found some great form lately as well despite losing Stewart and Diallo. These teams just came up too. Just wish we could do the same, but I think all signs are pointing towards a lower half finish at the moment.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

I think the criticism of Wright is fair because of the price we paid for him and the fact that his striking partner, who was purchased for far far less, is able to put away chances in spite of our inept midfield and defence. Granted Wright has had less time to gel, but his overall lack of...

Video Matty Godden and Mark Robins reflect on defeat against Cardiff City 🎙️

Recruitment has been poor. I can even forgive the DaCostas, Kastaneers, Hillsners of the world, but to spend millions on Wright and Simms for no end product, really hurts a lot.

Didn’t take long for QPR to slide down and almost get relegated last season.

Everton and Wright’s former Turkish team must be thinking to themselves “wow we actually got paid millions to get rid of them”

But people keep saying "oh we've only lost 2 in 25 or whatever the number is". problem is we don't have 2 of the key players who helped us in those games. We're screwed.

Last season was an aberration. We would have missed the playoffs in most other seasons with just 70 points.

Auto? I’d snap your hands off for a playoff place at the rate we’ve picked up points lately.

Haha therein lies the problem. We’ve been too happy with a point lately and really need 3.

    Signs are looking good

The point I was trying to make was how we’ve squandered leads and dropped points. The Watford game was one that we could have led, but didn’t thanks to a piss poor penalty. At 2-1 we looked like we were going to lose by an even greater margin. Then their own goal hands the initiative back to us...

Have not watched the game, but I see that Piroe already has 3 goals to his credit. Didn’t cost much either I think. Not sure if the expectation that comes with the price tag for strikers like Simms and Wright weighs heavily on their minds.

    Ex Player Watch

I really do think Hamer is a better player than Gyokeres because of his all round game. He scores, defends, takes set pieces and orchestrates plays by making pinpoint cross field passes. Once he got his disciplinary issues under control, he was on another level. The fact that none of our...

    Signs are looking good

I’m on the fence about whether to be optimistic or not about how things have turned out so far. I’m fairly pleased with the defensive reinforcements, but unfortunately not with the new strikers, especially Simms. The fact that 2 of our new defenders have scored while Simms has not is surprising...

    Gus - I know he’s gone but …….

If you add Gus to this team, I really think we could have turned some of those draws to wins. Promotion could have been a very realistic target. Not throwing the towel yet, but we’ve got a massive hole in the middle of the park.

Will be tough to beat Hull especially without Kasey and Lati. Seri and Tufan have been very good for them . After beating Leicester they will be favourites to win especially with home fields advantage

Robins has taken us as far as he can.

Don’t think Steve Bruce is fit to manage at this level. Might need to follow Mark Hughes’ example and drop a couple of levels.
