I would also add Pace and distribution to that list …. It’s why Grimes comes so deep because we can’t trust the back 2 to play out from the back and it’s why Milan is less attacking than he was as we need his recovery pace to cover Thomas and Kitchin.

Eccles has potential but he hasn’t played to it under Lampard. One of the few midfielders not to have taken a step up in level. I exclude Sheaf from that simply based on his fitness levels.

I think it’s because he’s been hit and miss this past 3 seasons. Really poor at Premier league level, very good in a very good championship team, then very poor in an above average championship team.

I can tell you that his West Brom team mates were very underwhelmed by his loan spell …… he’s certainly not a cut above the championship.
