Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

What about the Rugby families Wasps left behind in London and Wycombe? I guess they didn't count for much. I've got sympathy for people who might lose their jobs, but Wasps fans from Coventry didn't care much about Wasps fans from London when they chose to support the franchise. Where was the...

The mask slips. This is the real Tory attitude, I'm all right, so fuck everyone else. Everything they pretend to stand for, decency, law and order, patriotism, fiscal responsibility, Tories don't really give a shit about any of that, it's pure hypocrisy. Money for themselves and their mates is...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

You are seriously suggesting that HMRC agreed an arrangement to pay, and then went back on it? Interesting that, because I've worked both for HMRC (a very long time ago admittedly) and kind of against them, when I ran my own business, and I've never ever heard of them going back on an agreed...

Er, inconvenient fact I know, but once they chose to move and once they were kicked out. By Wasps. You may not remember that. Gee, I wonder why Wasps are not popular... And do you really believe Wasps had no other options to move here, because that's not quite true either. A bit like the MK...

Maybe, but let's not pretend that would concern the franchise too much, eh, other than the drop in income. The football club of course, will always be at the true heart of the city, and won't need to fake their attendance or offer thousands of free tickets to look like people care about them.

It's not different at all. You're supporting a team from London right now, just because they happen to turn up in Coventry and because they're 'elite'. Make your mind up mate, is franchising sport bad or good? I'd hate for people to think you were a complete hypocrite.

And neither will London Wasps be soon, God willing. What then for your elite sport fixation, eh.

Elsewhere. There are many, many teams to support. Tigers are doing pretty well. Saints aren't bad, Villa are in the Prem! You're flexible morally and with your support. Try one of them.

Maybe you just don't get out much in Coventry, you obviously aren't talking to many people at CCFC matches! You asked a question, you got your answer, now I think you're just on the wind up. Wasps aren't welcome hereabouts, the reasons have been clearly stated. You're welcome to your opinion...

Maybe if you supported them rather than the franchise. Wasps aren't a Cov side mate, they just washed up somewhere convenient for a while. Cov have been here since 1874, that's the Cov side pal. On your way now...

Now that is bollocks. MK Dons needed to move? If you knew anything about football you'd know that's rubbish. You need to move on yourself now perhaps. I think you've outstayed your welcome and exhausted your excuses.

Aye, and I've seen Zinzanh Brooke and more recently Sam T (hacksaw) at Cov too. And it was even more exciting because they were playing for an actual Coventry side. I think you've got your answer mate, is there anything else you need to know?

I don't quite know how you fit it all in then given the fixtures of the three clubs clash so often. You'll be aware there's no great love for Wasps at CRFC too no doubt. Given you're obviously fairly flexible in your support, would it really bother you that much if Wasps went? There'll still...

I've got absolutely no issue with Wasps fans, I've got a few mates who go occasionally, but as politely as I can put it, they never belonged in this City and I'd be massively against the football club being in any way involved with them. Without being in any way sarcastic, if you've found a...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Fiscally incompetent things too, it would seem. Other than as a vehicle for the insane, the inane, or the corrupt, what actually is the purpose of the Conservative party now?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Two quick thoughts: HMRC don't "blindside" anyone. They'll have been very clear on what they want and when they want it, and Wasps will have had plenty of time to settle up before any winding-up order would have been threatened. If Wasps are in this spot because they can't find £2m, then...

"Radio Inane" would be a better name for 90% of CWR output. It's got worse and worse over the years, to the point where the only thing I listen to nowadays is the sports coverage. Anyone who doesn't understand why there's a significant proportion of their listeners who might be happy to see...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

It's entirely possible to dislike all of the parties involved of course. Indeed I suspect most who really take an interest, do. Wasps no doubt similarly love the idea that some might see them as entirely blameless, I just don't think the evidence stacks up to support that theory.
