IF there is a new ground built........

In name only there isn't. I will use the term "Urban Area" then if it makes you happy. Horwich is part of Bolton anyway: The Metropolitan Borough of Bolton Listeni/ˈboʊltən/ is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester, England. It is named after its largest settlement, Bolton, but covers a...

IF there is a new ground built........

The difference is all those clubs play within their conurbation. Coventry has very clear defined boundaries. There is no "Greater Coventry" so to speak. Pretty much all of our urban area lies within the city.

    The Ricoh

Mid table at the moment. Belfast are top so it will be a tough game on Saturday.

IF there is a new ground built........

Well I don't want to get into a debate about which side is right, but there is pretty much nothing the council could have done to excuse sisu moving the club 34 miles away. What they have done is unforgivable.

IF there is a new ground built........

The building of the Ricoh was a different situation. That was about trying to progress the club (admittedly its been a disaster). Any future ground will be built on the basis that Joy Seppala doesn't like Coventry Council. I don't really see why we as a city should be robbed of our football...

IF there is a new ground built........

Of course you don't have to live in the city to support them, no club could survive purely on the support of a city as small as Coventry. However I do detect some (a very small minority it must be said) from outside the city who just don't get the link between the city and the club. They just...

IF there is a new ground built........

Your second line is why I think Fisher is serious when he says about it being 8 or 9 miles away. That would certainly mean it is no longer Coventry City.

IF there is a new ground built........

Define teeny bit. If its on the boundary then maybe. If its 8 miles from town (as fishers has been quoted as saying it might be) then no. The club would be dead to me.

IF there is a new ground built........

Well if its outside of Coventry I wont be going anyway, but I can tell you what any new stadium will look like. Crap. It will be built in the cheapest way possible. No imagination, no flair. Think Colchester's new ground, or the Keepmoat. Basically the Ricoh will look like a structure of...

    The Ricoh

He's compared it to HR so hopefully he will stay there if we ever come back.

    The Ricoh

Ownership is irrelevant. The Ricoh was, is, and always will be our home imo.

    Come on Les

No need for investigative journalism for that. He is often on here willing to answer questions about the original deal. He seems happy to help clear anything up and comes across as very polite and as someone who cares about Coventry.

    CCFC moving to Hinckley rumour

Their bound to try and do it then!

    CCFC moving to Hinckley rumour

Would explain the comment from Fisher "We have been talking to council's outside the City boundary, who would welcome the Sky Blues with open arms". None of the Warwickshire Councils seemed to know anything about it. Perhaps he's been talking to Hinckley & Bosworth BC?

    CCFC moving to Hinckley rumour

Great idea from a Sisu point of view. New ground in a LE postcode area will eliminate the need for it to be redeveloped.

    Not coming back.

Does mean questions need to be answered though on the previous sisu line that they've never taken money out of the club.

    Come on Les

Basically he doesn't understand finances but doesn't want to admit it.

    Not coming back.

No. There was also hospitality & advertising going to the club.

I think they did the year they went up. Them and Brum were our two home games in a row and I think both sold out.
