Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

If it’s true that the staff have been transferred to CCFC from ACL then that shows some statement of intent I think. Many of the staff will be short term temps but no doubt there are a few that might be liabilities under TUPE. Can anyone confirm this?

As I’ve said before, those that think Joy / SISU cannot raise serious funds need to try Sober October. Similarly, of course SISU want to 100% control the Arena, the investments in club and stadium are worth more than the sum of their parts. Money, to a Hedge fund is just a cost, a ROI is...

Someone on here said they’d spoken to him recently. Injured. Training with a team though. I’m totally guessing Shrewsbury. Just because.

If Waghorn (1300 mins last year, that’s about 30% of possible, 1 goal) is 10 times anyone I’d be surprised. Love to know £per minute / contribution. Not slating Waghorn, just once again, bizarre signing and not cheap or a gamble to develop and sell on. That MR wanted to ship him out and got...

It means we’ve got two over 31 who have injury history and Walker.

Err… nope. Good attempt at deflecting though. Bottom line: We’ve no back up to Vic. Waghorn hasn’t set anything on fire for the money. Max, at the time, may have been a better option to keep and use the extra few hundred grand saved on something useful.

He’s 6’2’ and strong. Waghorn is 5’9/10, strong maybe but I’ve not seen him bring the ball down for the air with back to goal like Vic. Still waiting for who we’d play up front if Vic is off…. Anyone….Bueller….Bueller

Alright, great contribution there. OK let’s say Gyok has to miss a few games. Who’s going up front from our squad?

My point is that there is no back up to Vic. I was reading the “Rise Together” book the other day (After I’d read it I gave it to a random Cov fan who happened to see me reading it around the pool in Tenerife - Cov fans get everywhere now) and it mentioned how the recruitment strategy had...

“If Gyok gets a ban” (got booked last night and you know how yellows are getting bandied around atm) “(If) Waghorn injured” (he got injured last night) Didn’t know Max was injured. In any case, the point here isn’t necessarily about Max but I’ve been banging on about shortage of back up...

If that’s your thing…. But I would let him train with us, unpaid, if he still lives local. If Gyok gets a ban, Waghorn injured, Walker stays out for a while….. Unlikely but not impossible

Just checked. It was Andy Thorn who thought Malaga was the answer that season, Wood played under Robins but was let go under Pressley. Andy Thorn era - the stuff of nightmares.

On the subject of Richard Wood, anyone know why he was never fully in favour when with us? We paid strong money from a rival Champ club, and then played legends like Nathan Cameron and James McPake ahead of him - we got relegated (shock) then he had a stint with us in L1 before we gave him away...

You wouldn’t be starting O’Hare in this game, bring him back slowly, don’t wa t another calf pull or worse. 2nd half sub again, tell Palmer to run and run at them until his blisters burst Wood needs oxygen and then bring on Cal.

“Wasps accuse Gallagher Premiership teams of profiting from club’s demise by offering stars ‘derisory’ contracts” Welcome to the real world. The offer we had to accept for Hyam was derisory - I’m guessing some of that money had to go on sorting the pitch and covering wages when we didn’t get...

    Ratings v Stoke

Wilson 8 Didn’t have much to do, distribution not the best but seems to be on his toes when needed and gets out well. Clean sheet gets him an 8 Panzo 7 Tracked back and covered well. Didn’t get forward but that might have been an instructional tactic. Kept his opponent out. Fadz 8 Headed...

I’m sure if SISU were to say: “if we secure the stadium would local builders / industrial painters / sign makers / cleaning companies help out; we will stick a plaque up / stick a write up about your business in our program etc.” Then we could have it looking a lot better for less than £20m.
