If Paterson is just coming for depth (from a brief look at his stats he can play CM/LW/RW/ST) it's not the worst thing in the world. If he's the Jan headline it's a bit depressing though.

It has the advantage of being in a larger country and German leagues being smaller. The team bottom of the 2 Bundesliga is 32nd in Germany, the team bottom of the champ is 44th in England. I reckon the Championship is better supported, relatively speaking.
