And PPS...only McSheffrey and Gyo have scored more goals at this level than Godden for the club. In fact, if Godden scores 11 more goals in his next 24 games for us at this level, he'll be more prolific than Gyo was for us in this division.

Totally with you. Bar Gyo, I'd say he's literally been our best striker in the last 10/15 years in my opinion. Yes his injury record hasn't been great but his goals/assists per game ratio is decent.

And this season - more important than last season and the season before because it's, well, now - he's joint 4th highest scorer in the division.

He can't set them up as he's scoring them. 47 goals in 123 games for us. Add on those 10 assists, 57 goals/assists in 123 games is nearly a goal contribution every other game. I suspect there's not many strikers currently in the Championship that can match that.

Disappointing if fitness. Last season, you could argue that cancelling the first 3 home games, probably meant we took a while to get up to speed on match sharpness. But we can't use that excuse this season.
