Our positional work out of possession is atrocious.

    Pato

Wholeheartedly agree. All too common nowadays 🙁 He genuinely is a Cov fan. Supported Liverpool as well as he idolised Michael Owen. Does say he'd choose Cov over Liverpool. From 12:54:

    Pato

He 'supports' both us & Liverpool, he's always been very open about that.

    Overrated players

Exactly. Konjic: Cult hero & fans favourite because of his kamikaze dribbles but was a poor defender & spent most of his time here injured. Oggy: A very good goalkeeper & rightly heralded due to his longevity, but he's often hailed as our greatest ever keeper when we've had many better both...

    Squad List

Does suggest that Bassette & Raphael were incorrectly registered at the start of the season. Bit embarrassing if so.

Yeah. Remains to be seen how we manage to integrate them in, especially as our best run coincided with a change in system due to their injuries, but if we can do it then it could be a very exciting end to the season. I said it on another thread, I think the grinding out of results in dramatic...

Agreed. You've probably got 11 teams competing for the last 2 positions. If we can successfully integrate our injured players back in & eliminate some of the errors we're in with a great shout.

Doesn't mean they are sustainable. Our xG numbers have dropped off quite a bit since the turn of the year for example. Also, our weaknesses are more likely to be exploited by better sides. As @clint van damme rightly says though, we're not alone in that.

Can't argue with the results. I think the performances have been mixed at best & there have been some strange tactical decisions. Now we are in touching distance of the playoffs though, the results are all that matters. If we do happen to make it though, we will need to be much better to stand...

    Time to believe

Absolutely. Wins like tonight with a last minute goal & the shootout win v Wednesday can be massive. The positivity & momentum they can bring cannot be understated.

Match Thread Coventry City - Queens Park Rangers Match Thread - Tuesday 11th Feb

Got badly the wrong side on one occasion near the end where they appealed for a pen but generally was much better I agree.

Far from convincing but result is all that matters really. Karma for their embarrassing time wasting! 🩵

Just a bit dull & predictable. Personally would have gone 3-5-2 rather than 3-4-3. As expected Simms isolated & it doesn't get the best from Rudoni or Sakamoto either. We're nullifying our own creativity.

    Championship thread 24/25!

The fact that Eustace sees Derby as a better project than Blackburn, given their relative league positions, should be alarming for the Blackburn board. I can't imagine they'll change though, they drove Tomasson out as well.

I think he's been itching to get out of Blackburn for a while, in part due to the owners. Club he had a very successful playing career at & closer to home which is also a big driver for him. Seems a done deal.

    Bobby Thomas

There's no excusing some of the individual errors; Binks for the 3rd & Lati was poor throughout but you're right. Actually felt a bit sorry for Lati, he was absolutely hung out to dry by the tactics. The roundest of pegs in the squarest of holes as RWB. Then with Thomas following Clarke into...

Incredible performance from Chisora. He's never easy on the eye but what an absolute warrior.
