Not as crazy as some. Young players fail for a huge variety of reasons. There was genuine potential there (not more than Maddison mind) but clearly something went very wrong. As Fernando says wrong move for him & given the way he left I'd question his mental toughness too.

Really good to see the young scholars not looking out of place at all. Howley in particular looking very assured for his first start at this level. You can certainly see why Nee has been prolific in the U18s too. Tavares has not stopped running.

Not really got going at all. Good to see them use the same setup as the first team but does leave us a bit square pegs in round holes in the back 3 without Drysdale, Thompson, Williams etc.

Yeah, to an extent but I don't necessarily mean just going more direct. Wyke is a striker that thrives on wingers getting quality crosses into the box. Not saying we couldn't change philosophy of course but think it's more likely we'd try to find someone that fits what we do rather than vice...
