    Gyokeres Deal Details

These players, at the end of the day are young men in their 20’s and to me the role of the “pack leaders” - MR, AV (gaffers) add KMc (skipper, 36/37 yo man) is to lead. That is, take responsibility - choose, dictate. “You next Bidwell, you can do it, I believe in you, if he saves it it’s on...

Dave Boddy leaving in January - John Taylor in!

To be fair, Joy’s choice of team was better towards the end than at the beginning. We had some nutters. Onye Igwe Ken Deluded And managers! Andy Thorn Slade. Oh my days. Whatever happened to that Canadian text sub guy? I thought he put money in, did he write it off? Boddy did a...

    Gyokeres Deal Details

No one here is infallible and there are times when I do question Robins’ logic (it is allowed you know). It’s ok to question for example, why Ayari started last game; there may be a good reason but as fans the majority don’t see it. I think everyone on here, no matter what they say about the...

Dave Boddy leaving in January - John Taylor in!

When you’ve got fringe players (probably) earning £5k per week it puts things into perspective. I do hope the Club goes and recruits top quality back room staff - it’ll pay dividends in the long run.

He put his Boddy and soul into the club.

To be fair, this looks like good agent work; put him in a league where he’ll excel and then get a bigger move than he might have otherwise done. I think Portugal only has about 2 or 3 decent teams and a load of League 1 standard teams making up the numbers. Like Scotland with warmer golf...

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

I’ll further that correct statement by saying that he was exceptionally determined. He played with purpose and I can’t recall him ever letting his head drop. That’s the difference.

    Recruitment has been shocking

I think people here in Sheffield believe I’m from Kent, I believe it’s my accent. Every time they walk past me they say “Kent”; at least that’s what I think they’re saying. (Satire. Maybe)

    Recruitment has been shocking

If a player is playing badly, it’s perfect reasonable to express that you think so. Some people are bad at their job in real life and get better. Some people are good at their job and for whatever reason become bad. Some people have off days. Sheaf had some awful performances in the past...

    Recruitment has been shocking

Maybe, but I’d like to see him being able to jink in and roam rather than an all out wide man. With Sheaf and Eccles sitting, the Full backs can get forward like they have of late. O’Hare cutting in and roaming is what I’m thinking. Anyway, I’m not MR - I just like the idea of a fully fit...

I think some kind of VAR is here to stay and it’s inevitable that more and more technology will creep into the game as technology advances and the financial implications of a mistake become more massive. Look at Newcastle PSG last night. How much will it impact Newcastle if they don’t...

    Recruitment has been shocking

O’Hare would create more chances for others I think and it’s whether playing him means better results on the whole. My personal presumption (and that’s all it is) is that O’Hare roaming wide left, Tats on Right and Sims in the middle is a better proposition.

Ref does walk straight to Lino on the side so probably needed to ask the question. Looking at the highlights, the Lino does get in line and gets down on his haunches to view the play. No twitch of his flag and ran, flag down, straight towards the restart. I guess the question the Ref would...

Top strikers “bend” their runs to get that split advantage whilst staying onside that split second longer. Gyok was good at that IIRC.

Did the EFL systems CGI that image for illustrative purposes, mind? Looks an awfully perfect image? Not saying it’s not accurate - it’s just interesting when watching VAR decisions they are going “next frame, back a frame”. Can’t we get to increased frames per second nowadays (again, tech bods...

There was a “goal” by us ruled out last season which was very similar in that the “alarm” on the ref’s wrist didn’t go off even though it looked like I’d had crossed the line by as much as your photo there. It does beg the point, if we can have goal line technology, when will by-line...

    Recruitment has been shocking

Unsure where the “Hamer box to box” replacement fits in in this 4 back set up. Eccles and Sheaf are doing fine sitting deep but to be fair they are getting in the box regularly. Sims for Godden could work and I think a fitter O’Hare on the left of attack in place of Wright would give us more...

That’s what I’ve been on about. It didn’t just hit, it appeared “unnatural movement” or whatever it is called was going on - he appeared to pat it down and change the trajectory. It’s not on extended highlights though so can’t be 100% but to me it was as clear as day in real time.

That was out but there was no clear view from the Lino and the ref wasn’t sure. My take: There was a clear clear handball in the first half which the ref and Lino missed and possibly the 4th official saw. During their half time chat this might have come up and human nature suggests they may...
