    Lati appreciation thread

Lati is only 24 his best years ahead of him. Good solid pro who does the routine things well (usually). Our back 5 take it in turns to make a mistake (6 if you include Kitch). Been said so many times we need a younger Fadz to organise at the back.

Great near post header. Brain gone for the other one. Took the one against Bristol (LCup) well. Played through by Palmer.

Apart from Blackburn and a bit of luck at Middlesborough, yes you are right.

We were royally shit against Derby. They had one shot on target and the flukiest deflection you will ever see. Typical Derby derby.

He needs balls to run onto or put it on his head in the box. Our delivery to the strikers has not been great this season.

Agree with this. Watched it back and it was a pen, not a dive. Missed the assault on MVE with the elbow and should have been another sending off. Was ambivalent about Wider but now think he is a total nob.

    Mark Robins Comments

I think his interviews this year have often alluded to his dissatisfaction with what was going behind the scenes saying things like loans not my remit. Cannot discuss an injury due to data protection? Yesterday he had a dig that he was restricted to what he could say.

    What is wrong with people?

I know Gaunty and in the main usually disagree about his opinions that have moved to the right over the years. However, that aside, he is a nice bloke and a massive City fan.

    Lampard Issue?

How many of those pundits talk a brilliant game but end up being really shit managers? Shearer, Keane and near the end of his career where modern coaching left him behind Martin O'Neill. I'll give Lampard a chance but I had hoped for a left field choice that hasn't been mentioned.

Just the opposite had to put up with the jokers who were employed. Your name tells me you have delusions of grandeur.

They are very impressed with interviewees. Great at interviews does not mean good at the job, in fact often the opposite. Bullshitters often get the job.

Right who's the next manager then?

Just read an article about why Mowbray was removed at Sunderland in a radio interview oop north. Sounds familiar a new dynamic (ho ho) set up with a Director of Football, an interfering Owner who wanted to dictate team selection and bringing in young players for increasing their worth. Mowbray...

Will Doug King lose any integrity he has left?

Lampard will want big wages I suspect, and at least his own number two. There was an article that said a stumbling block was control of transfers. I wouldn't blame him. My gut feeling is not good about great players becoming managers, although some have been excellent. There was an in-depth...
