Ref seems to have acknowledged that he missed the foul for their first goal and tried to level things up by giving the pen.

    Troy Deeney

The right thing to have done was to take him to the side and have a one to one, man to man chat with him. It was a bully move. Deeney thinks he’s a bloke few would want to square up to and plays on it.

    Troy Deeney

Fanky was a guy whose career was on the up and then got injured badly. He came back too quick maybe and then missed the most important pen in CCFC history. Next minute, he finds himself at the bottom club in the league and is being ridiculed in the press by a big thug. Talk about kicking a...

“Of his standing?” IIRC he couldn’t feel his feet when standing up. We actually gave wages to a player who could hardly stand up. And we moan now? As I say to the kids: “don’t know how lucky you are”. Sound like my dad.

I don’t recall him being particularly quick - just an awkward little fugger who was probably a nightmare to play against.

I really don’t get all this Wilson bashing. He was doing ok before he was injured.

Dovin 7 Good saves and some better distribution. Choices with short passes to defenders far too deep invited unnecessary pressure at times. Maybe should have caught their goal. Maybe. MVE 7 Just scraped a 7 due to done decent throws but not at his best. Lati 5 All over the show. Own goal...

In recent times Todd “should be in the Prem” Kane takes some beating. Arrived with high expectations, scored a fluke and then annoyed the rest of the squad. (what was it that he did to “be lucky to get out alive”, anyone know?)

Eoin Jess. Over £2m in the mid 90’s for a highly rated full Scottish international. This was a time when the gulf between Scottish football and English football was less and Aberdeen were a top Scottish club (runners up at the time I think) playing European football. Was expecting the next...

Having had the day to reflect we were lucky to win that. On a positive note, getting EMC and Haji back for the run in, with Sims playing as a target man (and he has improved of late) and Grimes pulling the strings I think there’s a good chance of sneaking the play offs.

Yes but he put their big lunk of a defender in his place. Gets a plus one. Fed up of our players getting bullied and none of them having the minerals to stand up.

WRT ratings: Dovin 7 Good stops but needs to learn to be on his toes to spot potential breaks. MVE 7 Always 100% effort and will do well if Tats pulls a bit more central and then he can work on overlaps. Kitching 6 Some poor passing Thomas 8 Plus 1 for goal and plus 1 for the blatant...

Grimes will be better once there’s a link man ahead of the press. Bear with me on this, I’ll try to explain what I mean. Opponents have figured that we pass backwards once pressed. I think we all agree on this. This leaves our striker isolated. The result is often a pass back to Dovin and...

I agree pretty much with this, and the reasoning given is actually pretty sound. But…. Dovin is a great stopper and will be a great keeper in time. For now, Ben Wilson does have, to my mind, the edge. He’s far more vocal in organising the defence and takes command of the area better. When he...

Dovin 7 Poor for goals conceded, particularly the second. A few great stops to make up for them. Still question his astuteness to read the play; their keeper on a couple of occasions had the presence of mind to bowl out to feet quickly and create a counter, whereas Dovin often dwells and misses...

Can’t speak for them, and it does seem a bit greedy. However, what I do know is that many SME’s are feeling the pinch for the reasons stated

To be fair it’s not just the NI increase that’s turning employers towards staff cuts. The minimum wage increase means that the gap between skilled / semi-skilled workers and unskilled worker pay is reduced. As a result everyone expects a pay rise (often understandable from their view). The...

IIRC Carl Baker (via his wife? or have I totally misremembered?) disclosing that he had to organise his own runs etc in order to keep match fitness? Thorn was a disaster. Nice bloke, awful manager.

With 30m worth of players in Gus and Vic alone? Scary.
