Yep. I think the ref missed a few/let things go a little. The booking on Marosi was ridiculous. I also thought it looked like it could’ve been a push on Kelly.

From the little Ive seen of him Eccles looks a really good player. I’d thought he’d feature quite a bit this season. Then we got in Walsh and Ohare. If by some miracle we signed these two Id be really confident about our future, whichever division we are in.

After the first game I didn’t say he looked shit but was unsure about how good he would turn out to be. I basically thought, “let’s see”. Third?

He wasn’t brilliant in his first game...and some liked Grimmer. Not sure he was ever overly criticised, at least not that I remember.

Did i read that he could also play further up the pitch? If so, a versatile player could be useful for the rest of the season.

How many times has mason played as wing back this season?

In fairness I didn’t. I take people’s points about being a left back as opposed to a wing back but from what I saw of him early season he looked outstanding. Most on here (including me) were ecstatic when he signed a contract extension. I’m not sure he’s had a fair run out given the start he had.

Did we stand a chance of getting Scholes?!? I was genuinely pissed off when we signed Dublin. Having sold one of my previous faves, Phil Babb, prior to his signature. He’d hardly played for Utd and been injured for ages. I should’ve known how good he’d be after watching him destroy Andy Pearce...

I really thought he’d stick around and see out his career with us, eventually being converted to a full time centre half. Gutted when he left but never felt anger at him, only at the club for letting him go...and on the cheap...and to villa!
