Don't disagree on the James deal, he was a brilliant signing but I don't think we were only good with he & Kelly together. In the small number of games they actually played together it often didn't work at all. The Wycombe 0-0 where everyone decided we were going down, comprehensively beaten...

We only won 4 games when Kelly & James started together.

100% Said it earlier, if both Foden & Grealish start + Kane drops into Midfield as he does, for all the talent on the pitch, we become easy to defend against. Everything is in front of the opposition. A really organised defence would be incredibly difficult to break down that way.

Mings is an absolute liability. He can surely only be picked purely on the basis of him being left footed. There's countless better options including his own club mate.

Well yes, announce that the conditions were met & he's joining permanently. The only reason anybody knows what the conditions were are from Alan Nixon. I mean, it matters not, he will be our player when the window opens. It's only the tin foil hat brigade that think Robins is trying to wriggle...

The ironic thing is they had his brother Jordan first & then moved him on to Palace in 2018. So he's been in the Premier League for the last 3 years whilst his brother's in the Championship yet Andre earns more than double what Jordan does 🤣

👍🏻 Good lad. Think he moved into his new place in Leamington yesterday too so not sure why the hold up in announcing the deal.

It's true. There was a report before where they found it out & both he & his manager refused to deny it just saying he gives everything for the club. They've been trying to shift him ever since they got relegated but naturally nobody else is going to pay anywhere near that & he's not walking...

    Football is back!!!! Premier League

Setup at Everton is all wrong, he was never going to make a success of it. Fair play to him.

Can't disagree with that & although I'm defending Southgate to a point, I don't really rate him as a manager. My point is the team selection & formation on the face of it aren't the issue, it's how he plays them. Within those systems he still tends to go much too negative thinking that will...

Sure & we should certainly play on the front foot by all means, but you've got to also protect against your deficiencies. Teams that win tournaments are nearly always defensively sound first & foremost. We saw it ourselves with City, Robins had to be more pragmatic as we were shipping goals for...

This. It's why Everton have failed despite having had an excellent manager in Ancelotti & decent recruitment teams in place with the likes of Marcel Brands & previously Steve Walsh who they pinched from Leicester (discovered Mahrez & Kanté etc.) They don't have a model of what they actually want...

Injury, illness or Covid contact. Nothing that says 'new' injury though. If he decides someone like Henderson or Maguire won't be 100% then he could change them. Not that he will but it allows flexibility. More likely is if someone gets injured in training or the friendlies then...
