But was it him? It’s either him, the Council or the MP. I genuinely don’t know. See video above (source CCFC official page). Anyone in the know care to elucidate?

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Yep. For every 10 ,50k (say) Dexter Walters / Kyle Hudlin / Reise Allisani / Hillsner type gamble there’s a rare Sam McCallum. Or, a Stuart Pearce or Cyrille Regis (Hayes - WBA). Having a flutter on a long shot that everyone writes off sometimes pays off. WRT Hudlin, he did end up playing...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

By now I would have expected us to have signed a couple of non-league / young foreign prospects for the development squad. Sam McCallum - type punts that aren’t dependent on Gyok money. It’s a bit quiet on that front.

Put the Leicester fans there when they visit. They’ll feel at home.

Yes, I mentioned this earlier. Apparently drainage and underfloor heating are an issue. Just for fun, what would AI make of the concept of safe standing for the “new” areas. What capacity then?

Grok says (posting without comment here) The possibility of extending the Coventry Building Society (CBS) Arena has been a topic of discussion, but there are significant challenges and mixed opinions on its feasibility. The CBS Arena, home to Coventry City FC, has a current capacity of 32,609...

I thought that myself. Would have been short sighted to restrict the stadium potential but at that time the decision makers seemed clueless so who knows.

Thinking about this, the easiest way would be lower the pitch and extend the stands forwards (ie extra rows at the front) (Ibrox style) maybe safe standing all the way around the pitch perimeter. Long throws might be affected though….

Probably answered elsewhere but give the CBS was originally planned for 40 odd thousand, (retractable pitch, roof, helipad, rocket launcher (satire)) and downscaled during construction; is it still possible to put another tier on? If we got to the Prem, 40k crowds aren’t implausible. MA could...

It’s a bit of a boggle comparing crowds from the 80’s to now. In the 80’s it might well have been that crowds were under-declared - more actual people in the ground than the declared figure. Cash at turnstiles, two getting a squeeze in from their mates, chairman might want to be tax efficient...

It’s all relative. Went for £1.4m in 2020 so 25% sell on would have been £350k. £350k to us at the time would have been useful; we were skint under SISU.

Sign him up (satire) I had the audacity to suggest that rather than sign Waghorn, 33, on £12k per week (over a million over two years) when we hadn’t a pot to spit in we should look at local young players like 6ft9 Hudlin to develop instead. I thought he might be good to train to get on the...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

I support Trump over Biden and Harris. I respect Elon Musk far more, the bloke has proved that he knows what he’s doing. Trump is a clown right now for how he’s behaving. There. I’ve said it.

As a flip / alternative view, I think we will se a rise in folk of all ages moving to France (not Spain where the laws are anti-English towards buyers there atm). House prices in the village I own own some properties in the Vienne are at a low. You can buy a half decent three bed with all the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Unfortunately there are people out there who live chaotic lives / play the system who live up to your characterisation. There are a few on here (about 5) who will refute this absolute reality, but they also believe that everyone of the thousand boat migrants per day are doctors and engineers...

It’s changed. It now goes to the benefit claimant who should then pay to landlord. It may shock some to learn that often the temptation to hold on to the money is often too great for tenants in receipt of benefits. There’s a two month rule: ie, the tenant gets 2 months behind and the landlord...

And Onandi Lowe could have been if the club hadn’t been so weak and woke. INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. Signed with a record domestically and internationally that was top draw. Played. Scored. Got arrested. Got dropped. I get that if he had been found guilty he should be sacked. Before any...
