Hamer is quality. Still believe he would’ve been a good depth option for anyone in the top 6. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s going for 40-50m next summer.

As others have said, last year our depth was the likes of Waghorn, Kane and Walker. If it gets to that point we'd probably do as well to run down the local park and hand out a few short term contracts.

I don't find Simms' career highlights so far particularly impressive really - lots of scrappy finishes and his first touch is often massive. Godden will inevitably get injured and he'll get an extended starting run.

At risk of sounding like a broken record 1. The league was much weaker last year 2. He did that while playing alongside Hamer, not replacing him. Also playing less than 60% of minutes is hardly something to shout about.

Walker is going too far. But look at what we’ve done for strikers. Spent big on two after losing Vik, while still having Godden who can compete. Should ideally have done the same in central midfield.
