Absolutely. not necessarily an improvement on the pitch but the suggestion was that people were being naive for thinking decent money was being spent. it would appear that the the investment of cash has ‘improved’.

Is that not an improvement of signing people for £500k and paying £100-150k as we allegedly were last year. We’re paying twice as much...and that’s with us all guessing what’s actually been paid!

It certainly feels like a statement of intent. Even if that intent is “we’ll sign players and sell them on for more, whilst scraping survival in the championship”. I’m good with that.
