    Mowbray's favouritism

You moan about Tudgay not having a chance then in the next breath right off players as crap without giving them a chance. Classic.

Match Thread Coventry v Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Aug

Was there actually any proof that was happening or was that just the reason gave by people on sky blues talk?

Match Thread Coventry v Portsmouth Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Aug

They had a set up like this, it was called pay on the gate. If you wanted a specific seat you purposely went to the ticket office on match day. It was good as the people who weren't bothered about which seat they got went to the turnstile for speed and convenience whilst those who wanted a...

Majority will pay on the night for a match like this, hope they've got their shit sorted out with ticketing as no pay on the gate could cause problems.

New Striker- Loan - Jack McBean

Its not actually a quote or comment from TM, its the telegraph understands. Wouldn't surprise me if they made it up just to get this reaction.

I think a few forget how bad Burge was, its a common theme that the more a player gets left out the better he becomes in the eyes of some fans through not playing

    Mowbray's favouritism

We lost because Tudgay didn't start.....LOL You are obsessed with him

    The Budget

I mean more people need to start supporting the team, look at Sheffield Utd with 14k season tickets. Ok they were still in league one but their budget is constantly one of if not the highest in the league, inevitably one year they will get it right and be promoted. If we had 15,000 season ticket...

    The Budget

Oh yea, see it now. Surprised MK Dons had over 9k season ticket holders and Barnsley over 7k. Very poor from us I know we're a league one team, fans either accept it or start supporting the team

    The Budget

Thats attendances from the 14/15 season, not season ticket holders, but yea you are right league one crowds gets you league one players which makes you a league one team.

He saved one penalty which he himself had given away through a very bad mistake It was about the only save he did make in 10 matches

I'm not forgetting it, Flecks goalscoring record was also piss poor and not good enough across that time. For about 18 months of those 2 years you've mention he was poor and it was one of his biggest criticisms by many. The system plays a part but also the individual must take responsibility...

    The Budget

We need more fans up the Ricoh simply, its no surprise we are where we are when we can barely sell 5k season tickets.

Burge was crap when he played last season, all well and good saying you can't remember Burge costing us any points but I can't remember Burge ever gaining us any points either. His save to shot ratio must have been appalling as almost every shot ended up in the back of the net.

I get what you are saying but I don't think you can blame his lack of productivity only on the system. Last season Fleck and Vince each scored 4 times as many goals as Thomas did in his entire career.

Yes, they are holding midfielders. I wouldn't describe Thomas as a natural holding midfield player, Thomas was supposed to be the box to box type midfielder. If you asked people what his best attribute was it would nearly always be his engine or his athleticism, not his defensive reading of the...

    Mowbray's favouritism

I don't see Tudgay being used any more than last season, he's ok but not really what you would call an impact player off the bench to turn a game around. I see Tudgay as more of a player you bring on when you are winning and trying to see the game out, bringing a calmness and experience and...

    The Budget

I think he's saying Wilson would have been an expensive signing at league one level, so the budget can't be that tight yet and theres still a bit left in the pot for Mowbray to work with before the budget is fully spent.

Well having an end product is part of being a good player and when you are central midfielder you are expected to have some end product and chip in with some goals.
