Why should the club have to do the councils job of developing the area?

I think he was basing that value on what Compass paid.

Yes it is. Just like anyone who has ever been to Arsenal.

Income streams for the club though don't begin and end with the stadium. As I posted before there are plenty of ways for the club to generate income outside of the ground. Why haven't they bought Rowleys Green Social and made it into a matchday supporters bar? Why don't they buy the land of car...

Your sounding like a child. Very few people have said there is nothing wrong with Wasps moving. Your constantly making snide remarks at anyone who isn't rabid anti Wasps.

That was around the value that compass paid for exclusivity on catering rights. That contract had a certain amount of time to run, the closer to the end of that contract the lower its value.

If the club had that deal I see no benefit that a new ground could give above and beyond that. I am sure the club could buy back into those things for much less than the cost of a new ground.

What percentage of the 28k there today do you think gave abuse to Sixfielders? Less than 0.5%?

Who are you to say that is wrong? Its only your opinion, you could be the one that is wrong. What is embarrassing is a number of posters who until recently proclaimed themselves as "balanced and blame all sides" who have now transformed into shouty Wasps out types.

I don't know, I'm not a Wasps fan so I don't know much about their situation. Wasps play rugby, CCFC play football. Finances are different in each sport. Blaze have been this city's most successful club in recent years, that has been done without them owning the SkyDome. What I do know is...

Wasps, CCC, Higgs, it doesn't matter who owns ACL, buying back our revenue streams is what the club needs. There is no financial argument as to why the club needs to own a ground, it just needs a good rental deal. Wasps here actually makes that more likely.

Unfortunately some choose not to look at the truth as they find it too painful. Instead they bury their heads in the sand and blame everyone else in the world for the problems at the club.

But it doesn't really affect us that much does it? The club is in no different state to what it was the day before Wasps bought the ground.

CRFC get good attendances for their level. They are the best supported team in that division.

    Would you go?

Not the same. Going to Sixfields was damaging CCFC (IMO). Going to Wasps makes no difference to CCFC.

Have you never gone to a game as a neutral? If you were in Manchester for the weekend and had a chance to go to Old Trafford are you saying you wouldn't go? That's all the people going to Wasps are doing. We now have a top European rugby team playing on our doorstep. If your a rugby fan you...

I don't think they were offered it. I am asking why he thinks the local authority chose to sell to an out of town rugby team over its own football club? What does he think caused the council to have that motive?

    Would you go?

Very few people have defended the move. There is a difference between defending the move, and just saying that they have done it in the right way. IMO moving a sports club out of its home town is wrong, but, from a CCFC point of view, Wasps have done everything the right way.

    Would you go?

That's because we're Coventry City fans and Coventry City is our priority. Not that strange really that we would get more upset about our team moving over a London Rugby team.
