Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs Stoke City Match Thread - Saturday 1st Apr

We don’t need a ‘once in a generation’ signing to replace Vik. That’s hyperbole. We’d need to take the opportunity to improve the squad as a whole and reduce our reliance on 2-3 players to provide the spark.

I’d put that down to demographics on Twitter, myself. Anyway, it’s just Former Players’ Association day under a fancier name.

As a side note, has Caulker been any good for them since joining?

Vik on the bench vs Belgium

It’s not really, though, is it. A selection of first choice mid-table PL strikers: Danny Welbeck Aleksandar Mitrovic Ollie Watkins Odsonne Edouard Raul Jimenez Patrick Bamford Wouldn’t say any of the above are clearly better than Vik. The idea he’d be benchwarming is questionable at best.

    Sam Surridge or Ellis Simms.

    Euro qualifiers 2024

But Bellingham could still get forward a bit, which is more than Phillips does really. That aside, I’m not against Southgate remaining. I did suggest freshening the coaching staff around him though.

Ain’t heard of half these players the last couple of pages.

I can. Don’t think he’s PL ready yet. All depends on what our plan is next season.

    This summer - potential signings

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the interpretation, but if they are promoted they would then qualify, right?

Ended up down a bit of a rabbit hole. Emil Hansson and Thomas van den Belt.

£399 early bird, £450 after. Expect boxes to go up steeply again: my prediction is £9,000+VAT.

    BBC.

The ironic thing, of course, being that public services are functioning that poorly that the border force doesn’t seem capable of dealing with the issue in hand.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I also thought of the Nick Griffin QT appearance years ago. Annoyed me how no one gave him the opportunity to speak and was busy booing him and interrupting him. Far easier to listen to what he has to say and then prove it to be categorical bollocks than run a pseudo-pantomime which, as you say...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Watched it last night and generally agree. There is a desire to take things out of context for the ‘views’. Clumsy, maybe. Malicious? Not for me. I also didn’t see her huge Tory bias coming out. Maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough. Thought she did a good job of pressing all parties.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Weird innit. For what it’s worth, I’m quite pro-free speech. Rather have the opinions out in the open to be debated/debunked than squeeze all the loonies off-grid. I struggle with what feels like the modern approach of “well that’s my opinion and I’m sticking with it” despite all evidence to...

    Premier League thread

Went for years being fed up of MOTD for their lack of proper analysis and poor delivery, but you’ve got to appreciate it for what it is - a gateway to those who don’t spend every waking minute of their lives talking about their football team and watching every game under the sun. Also think some...
