    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

There was a top European team (name escapes me) who had Dovin lined up to buy before his injury. Doubt we would have sold him, but is an indication of how highly other teams rate him.

Again, no one has ever said we would go for Doyle, particularly in January and his contract would prevent his sale anyway. 25% sell on and Man City clause. Pep clearly thinks Doyle may have Prem potential, hence the clause. With O'Hare, the timing screwed us. No one is giving a player a contract...

    Long throws

Are teams allowed towels now? Never see them now. Remember the Stoke player who used to send long throws in low like a bullet.

    Long throws

Yes stupid and unnecessary. Think a few of our bookings have been daft eg Haji kicking the ball away. Yellow cards should be reserved for professional fouls. Most clubs used to have a player committee that decide if a fine is appropriate. Assume that still happens.

    Mason-Clark Appreciation Thread

Thought he was moved left wing back once during a match and played really well. Next game started there and did the back pass against Derby, which put an end to that. Did play LWB on occasion for former clubs. Under Lamps he has a free role sometimes.

Never said we wanted or tried to get him. Said I would like him back. His wages are out of our price range unless something changes in January, and King decides to break the structure, which he would not do for O'Hare.

I don't get this Doyle is shit. He was brilliant with us, promoted with Leicester, played well for Norwich and crucially Man City put in a buy back clause. They obviously feel he may be good enough for the top of the Prem in a couple of seasons. Ok he has started slowly in Wales, but Wrexham...

stolen from X Great montage CR.

Love Rushworth. Was brilliant yesterday. Made world class saves that won us the match, yet made two schoolboy errors. The mis kick where Kitch cleared it and the pen. I like goalies who commit. He is especially good on corners, but coming off his line to close down play was poor in those...

If we are in the top 2 by christmas we will get promoted

Words of caution. Newcastle were 15 points ahead at one stage and were overhauled. Under Sexton, we were 2nd in the top division near Christmas. We avoided relegation on the last day of the season. Think only injuries or fatigue due to a small squad can hold us back this season.

Agreed. Wasn't like Swansea when we were 3 up at home or Man U where we were 3 down.

You are 3-0 up against 10 men after some tough games with a small squad, and some players like Bobby clearly fatigued. Like most teams, in the second half, we played keep ball to tire the opposition out like we did against Birmingham. Unfortunately, Watford didn't get the memo, and their defence...

How do you get targeted JDS out of that game? Sure the pen came down that side, but most of their chances and attacks came down the right. Rushworth miskicks, Bobby gets bumped over etc etc. Seems you are biased before we kick off.

    We lost a half

I thought we went for the wear them out routine like against Birmingham. Thing is Watford are beasts with pace and muscle and are a different proposition under their new manager. A lot of teams would have capitulated, but they stepped up. I wouldn't mind a couple of their players if we got...

    Watford Player Ratings

The sending off was as blatant a foul as you will see, and absolutely the correct decision. He skinned their player. The Birmingham player fouled him too for an obvious second yellow. Watford were physical and the ref let them get away with it. They on the other hand were doing the classic...
