Your idea that we can somehow hope to sign another Vik and Hamer for £1m each is ridiculous. If we continued with that approach it would be 10 years before we found similar quality players.

Didn't get us promoted though did it. We had 15 & 20m pound players in the squad for the final. If we want to go one better we need to sign more players of that calibre, and that involves spending money.

Still think we will look a much better team if/when we sign a creative central midfielder. If we did that in Jan maybe another late run is possible. But the climb wasn't going to continue forever. I'm hoping Robins stays unless we actually look like getting relegated, then we can reassess next...

...what? I'm saying if we offered him a contract in the summer it was likely to be relatively low wages to reflect the risk attached to his injury. So it makes sense for him to wait to prove his fitness before entering talks.

13 games in Vik had 1 goal and had just sat on the bench while Godden, Biamou and Bakayoko played ahead of him. 13 games in Wright has 2 and is still getting minutes. Both poor, Wright better.
