    Euro qualifiers 2024

Again, I get the JWP argument and would have preferred him to Henderson particularly. But there’s no denying that Phillips and Maguire have been very reliable performers for England and Henderson I’m assuming brings something from a leadership perspective to the squad with him being...

A fucking good job indeed, especially whilst everyone was sat on their ars…oh.

Our midfield - do we have problems?

Ultimately if Palmer is going to play, he needs legs alongside him so we have to go 1 up top. Can’t carry out the demands of the role himself basically. Really like him on the ball but off the ball we wouldn’t be detrimented if we had a cardboard cutout in the position.

    Euro qualifiers 2024

I’ll give you that one. Edit: whilst we’re on the subject of JWP, I massively rate him and am surprised he only ended up at West Ham. Genuinely think he’d fit well in a Man Utd/Spurs team.

    Euro qualifiers 2024

Daft argument. Clearly one of Southgate’s trusted players and has tended to perform fairly well for England. If there was an outstanding candidate he was keeping out then fair enough, but beyond him we’ve got Craig Dawson and Adam Webster. Long-term I’d be interested to see what Jarrad...

    Player ratings v Sunderland

Wilson - 7 - claimed a lot that came into the area. Gave a fairly solid foundation. Thomas - 6 - good, not great. Not keen on him whinging about MvE wanting the ball through the defence on a few occasions. Fadz - 8 - so much class. Brought control to pretty much every defensive situation...

Match Thread Coventry City - Sunderland Match Thread - Saturday 26th Aug

If the numbers mean nothing to you then: a) you’re probably not the target audience. b) it might be worth reading and understanding what it means in qualitative form. My mistake, yes it was first half. Had in my head that we were shooting towards the away fans in 2nd half as we usually would...

    Long throws

It’s variety. Quite often really useful to have the option but take a short throw in - you’ve bought more space to play in.

Find this really quite interesting. Simms chance 2nd half was 0.04xG. Basically a miracle if he scored. Wright chance was 0.08xG. Slightly better but still. Godden first half chance 0.55xG. Yet Simms and Wright “should have scored” and Godden’s is “a half decent chance”.

Decent hotels in Cov city centre

Depending on the number of attendees requiring accommodation, might be worth enquiring with the Radcliffe Conference Centre which is on campus at Warwick.

No that was Cohen Bramall. Seems his game against us was the exception rather than the norm.

    Women's World Cup 2023

Couldn’t tell you which county sides the England cricket team play for yet I still watched the Ashes. Is this allowed or do I need to be fully immersed into a sport to enjoy its showpiece events?

Anybody watched mission to burnley ?

Not afraid to put my head above the parapet and say I thought they’d struggle big time. Didn’t see where the goals were coming from and it seemed the new owners were going to withdraw funding. Added to the fact that top players very rarely make good managers.

    Care homes

Right, point number 1. Get Power of Attorney relating to financial matters sorted now. By the time it’s needed, it’ll be too late as no solicitor will sign off that the individual is right of mind to give PoA. Currently going through this with my gran who’s been in a care home for around 12-18...
