I was convinced he didn't & as you say all of the Match Reports missed it too but there's an image doing the rounds on Twitter which shows he did (buggered if I can find it now though).

At the time I thought it was a stonewall penalty but seeing it again he just gets enough on the ball. Wouldn't be a red card either way anyway - double jeopardy & all that. Thought the officials were pretty good overall actually, big improvement on recent weeks.

Totally agree. Linos/Assistants in the PL are pretty much pointless now.

Ha ha, well yes of course if you have the tech capable then sure. The problem at the minute is they're judging somebody's toenail offside by millimetres with tech that simply isn't capable of that accuracy.

I don't know all the ins & outs of the tech but believe VAR currently just use a still image & then 3D crosshair tech but you need to know the exact split second the ball is kicked & where everyone is positioned at that exact moment. VAR only use 50fps cameras so you can immediately see the...

After 17 games Wycombe were top on 36, Ipswich 2nd on 33 but 2 games in hand. We were 3rd on 29.

Problem is to do it accurately you'd need every inch of the pitch covered by cameras etc & even then, the ones that VAR use are no good as frame rate is incapable of judging it accurately, margin of error is around 12cm which is enormous.

100% correct. Even now on the Ratings thread you have someone giving him a 6 & saying he should have blocked the shot for their 2nd goal. The player defending the guy on the edge of the box was Hamer who was given 9/10 & MotM... 🤷🏼‍♂️
