    Burge

Thanks for that, anyone defending Burge for the first goal is mad. I'd expect a Sunday league keeper to save it with little effort

The mammoth sum Coventry City owners Sisu would need to walk away without loss

Interest is being accrued but not paid out i think on the loans Sisu made to the club. So basically every passing year the debt to Sisu increases without any chance of the club being able to afford to pay it off. So it isn't being taken out of the club accounts, but it goes on the balance sheet...

    Why Does Mowbray Escape Criticism?

That's not always true though. Would you rather have Cody McDonald or mcgoldrick?

    Why Does Mowbray Escape Criticism?

Possibly i imagine had mowbray stabilised us and got us towards the lower midtable range from 12-17th as i believe he would have. He probably would have got sacked for not delivering the play offs and underperforming compared to the previous season, and it would have been viewed as failure. Yet...

    Why Does Mowbray Escape Criticism?

Mowbray was underperforming compared to last season for sure. Yet I still believe he would have kept us up if he didn't walk away.

    Burge

The first goal is abysmal goalkeeping, it not to do with anticipating a harder shot into the corner. His footwork and weight distribution was all wrong, which meant he lost his balance and was made to look an idiot. Basics which you would expect a 16 year old to know if they were serious about...

    Burge

It's common when players first come into the side either a new player, academy player or player coming back into the side after a long break that you only notice the good things they do. It's why we thought bigi was going to be a good player when he was 17 and Clarke was the signing we needed...

    Burge

Burge was passing into space for us to run onto but our player wasn't quick enough to react, not on his wavelength.

    Burge

That was totally on purpose, he was doing the ronaldinho trick where you look one way and pass it the other.

    Burge

It looks like he's never been properly taught how to take goal kicks. He just kicks the ball as high as possible, makes it really easy for defenders to defend as they can pick up the flight of the ball early and have a lot of time to get in position before the ball drops out of the clouds.

He did mention DKE in today's post match interview. He said he's small in stature but he's got a bigger heart than most of them out there. Or something to that effect.

    Burge

I think it was yea, it's basically a pass back from ranger down pretty much the middle of the goal and Burge has just fell over(i wouldn't call it a dive) the opposite way.

    Burge

That first goal was embarrassing, i called it when i first seen it. Awful goalkeeping

Match Thread Coventry v Southend Match Thread - Tuesday 14th Mar

Just watched the first goals again, it's Turnbull with the first mistake losing the ball and as i thought at the time it's absolutely horrendous goalkeeping from burge, it's a weak shot down the middle of the goal. A Sunday league u16s keeper would save it 9 out of 10 times.

    Robins

At least he don't bs us, eerily similar to his post match interview when he joined us first time. Let's hope he can turn it around again
