And Farage campaigned for a ‘Norway-style’ deal regarding Brexit, but when the vote came in it was hard Brexit or nothing. Certainly can’t take him at his word.

    England v Iceland

Dunk was looking really good 12 months ago but had a rather underwhelming season this year. Branthwaite I’d have also taken as the only fit left-footed defender we have. All well and good saying he’s not a left back, but neither are Gomez or Konsa. No reason we couldn’t play him as a very...

    UEFA EURO 2024

Might get something at a v good rate locally but it’ll be hit and miss. When I was in France for Euro 2016 I went drinking with some Belgian guys and went to Russia v Slovakia the next day. They had a spare ticket which was €155 face value and I had it for €50.

    Summer transfer window 2024

May have posted about him before, but Polish left back Bartlomiej Wdowik. When I looked at him earlier in the season his defensive stats weren’t great but seem to have been a decent improvement, and attacking output is fantastic for a full back (albeit takes set pieces including penalties).

    Summer transfer window 2024

Not that I overly believe the figures, but it could be linked to their wages. If Thomas is on a significantly higher wage (one which may not be affordable in L1) then they may be more desperate to offload.

    Summer transfer window 2024

Got 12 goals and 5 assists in a Wimbledon team that got relegated from L1. That’s a decent return aged 20. £2m would have been a snip.

    Transfer Rumour Alan Browne

Almost as if we don’t need to dogmatically stick to one setup. You’d really want a specialist 10 if we’re playing a midfield 3, even if the initial intention is to play a flatter 3.

In all honesty does this not make a case for investing in solar, etc? Not that the current weather would help us out much!

    Gyokeres Deal Details

It’s not as if no one will bid until he’s back and fully fit. All the talking will go on during that period, I’d imagine, and then a deal subject to a satisfactory medical. Get where you’re coming from but rumour has it they’ve been wanting him to sign a new deal since about November. If he...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Bit of a left field shout (and by no means a rumour I’ve seen) but would anyone be interested in Troy Parrott joining? Seems to have had a respectable season in the Eredivisie, one year left on his deal at Spurs and very unlikely to break into their team. Probably not done as well as he could in...

    Stocking up on essentials

Oliver Dowden announced this the day of the election I think.

On the flip side, is private healthcare VATable? I’m assuming not. Would the expectation be that this is also implemented?

    Fixing football

Bruce Grobbelaar might be able to help you out. Oh, sorry, not that type of fixing football.

And that assumes none of the funds ‘saved’ get spent on VATable goods/services. The tax system isn’t quite as linear as you think.

I’ve no issue with striking, but striking when there’s no government? Hmmm…

At least we know Maddison’s in the squad if he’s dressing the manager.

Could she not just leave the party and stand? Or would that not play well optically for her? Genuine questions by the way - not familiar with how candidate selection etc works.

    Course they fucking would.

Could argue he wouldn’t be needing a medical if he stayed at Preston.

2 options: 1. Make it prohibitively expensive to rent out properties. This was what the removal of mortgage interest relief was part-designed to tackle. However, a lot of what happened is owners ‘sold’ to a Ltd Co to bypass that implementation, or indeed were ahead of the curve and had property...
